    Comfortable room for overnight stay

    We had booked 3 rooms but only one had been reserved. Long wait for service at dinner though dining room not busy and the waitress never did return to take our dessert order

    Hotel offered an excellent deal on adding an evening meal to the bill.

    Restaurant area was rather charmless, much more like a conference centre than somewhere you would eat.

    lovely staff. very helpful and friendly. very clean and comfortable.

    rather mean with tea/coffee in rooms--bare minimum of milk sachets . staff very helpful though when asked for more. no other complaints. excellent service.

    "The situation of the hotel is good and the NEC was easily accessible, which is what we wanted. On arrival, the receptionist asked us to pay in full which I have never been asked to do before. Even though there is a notice on the desk asking that part payment is made she insisted that we pay in full. She said that it made the checking out process quicker and easier. The room was basic but clean and functional but we felt that it was a little too expensive for what it was. The breakfast was excellent though. However, the flow of the shower was poor and it was also difficult to get the right temperature. Overall, the hotel is in a quiet location and convenient for the NEC but it is a little too expensive and it would be a lot nicer if the staff were friendlier and smiled a little more. One positive comment though, I left my electric toothbrush charger behind and they immediately posted it back to me. Would probably stay there again but 1 or 2 nights maximum." (107562216)

    Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Good position for NEC.

    Receptionist unfriendly. Made to pay on arrival. Shower was inadequate. Room too hot. Too expensive.

    Very friendly and obliging staff. Excellent breakfast.

    Requested twin room but were given a double room. Due to adverse weather conditions did not arrive back at hotel until 1.30am. Had great dfficulty contacting the porter to open the locked gates (20 minutes)

    Friendly and efficient staff. Convenient and pleasant location.

    Poor bathroom - no proper shower and huge inconvenient corner bath. Mixer tap for shower attached to bath useless. Noisy pipes. Lack of soundproofing. Food at breakfast and dinner no more than adequate for this star rating.

    The people were very friendly,and the food was home cooked and fresh and beautiful.

    The only bad thing was the bed,it let the whole stay down ,i already have a bad back and was unable to sleep at all the springs were completly broken.My husband does not have a problem with his back and yet he was unable to sleep for long periods of time and did have a back problem buy the morning.

    Very efficient check in. Pay when check in so no need to check out.

    Noise from people shouting in hotel car park. Pricey.

    Staff were very helpful when we arrived late and in providing a meal at a late hour. Hotel was very clean and well decorated.Bedrooms very comfortable Breakfast was lovely and served in a very pleasant room. Although we didn't use the garden it looked well cared for and inviting.

    The atmosphere was friendly and the room very clean although lacking a little in imagination re decor and layout. However the bed was really comfortable and the breakfast lovely. Thank you. We will definately return

    For £85: the room was basic; noisy from the water system; one would have expected a freshly cooked breakfast and coffee and we were not told that you could not get back on the motorway to go south.

    "Overall the Hotel did it's best in the situation which they are positioned. Still with after effects from flooding last year. The noise from the roads at back and front of the hotel would be too much in the summer when windows would have to be open. Beds very comfortable and white bedlinen was most welcome. Adequate breakfast, but the hotel lacks something. Pub across the road superb!" (97495095)

    Extremely comfortable with all the facilities that we would require with excellent standards of service. It was wonderful to have the choice of either eating in the hotel or within walking distance of The Bird in Hand which we used and found to be perfect in every way !

    "hotel is approximately one and half miles from nearest village, but due to nature of road, would not like to walk at night, so hotel needs to ensure better entertainment for customers or arrange deals with a local mini cab company to make access to the village possible without having to drive!Accommodation at hotel was very good and staff were courteous and friendly, full english breakfast was fine, but did not use restuarant in evening due to lack of atmosphere, (i was the only one there) and decided to drive into village, where there were plenty of restuarants and public houses offering food. Would use hotel again as stopover but could not see me staying longer than one night, just too quiet." (97781354)

    Very nice location - beautiful countryside. Easy access to M40, M42, 10 min drive from NEC. Quiet hotel. Very clean room and bathroom.

    "The hotel filled the bill exactly for the purpose needed of an overnight stay near Stratford on Avon. Booking and its administration was easy as was finding the hotel from directions given. Parking seemed adequate ; checking in was no problem and our stay was comfortable." (99898228)

    location was good breakfast was good hotel was clean

    the bed was very uncomfortable and the water tank was refilling all night and kept us awake for most of the night.

    Easy parking and in a quiet location

    I didn't use the bar or the restaurant bacause when I checked in it didn't appear inviting or welcoming. Also mirros's are needed above the dressing tables, as I had to dry my hair unable to see what I was doing as the mirror was across the other side of the room facing the door.
