    "an additional £25 was added to my bill for requesting checkout after 10 am. this is a ridiculouly early check out time on a sunday. I was told this was for staff. When I got up and left I never saw a soul." (108647304)

    that I was given the optionof later check out (a ltho at a cost)

    your site suggested i had option of a smoking room which i ticked. they have no such rooms.

    Situated in a central location. Easy access to main routes. Friendly staff. homily feeling.

    Decor is veering towards tired. We enjoyed the attic bedroom, good job we were fit and healthy as there were a number of flights of stairs.

    Great breakfast. Homemade biscuits and the guest kitchen made this well above standard - perfect for a longer stay

    The TV did not work unless one of us held the cable

    Landlord was extremely welcoming and kind. Room was decorated very nicely and felt very warm

    i booked the hotel over the net and it said check in time was 1600 but i was outside for 45 minutes before they answered the door and that was after i had to go round the back of the property to ask one of the permanent residents if there was any one around.Not a happy bunny especially as i had to rush around to meet up with friends at 6

    "an informative website gave us the information we wanted. Because of recent surgery my husband did not want to be far from town but did want to walk. We thought our twin room had a personal touch which we appreciated. It felt more like a family guest room as opposed to the soul-less modern hotel rooms. The welcome in the car park from the owner was warm and more than made up for the scaffolding surrounding the building. Major chimney pot repairs were underway. His assistance with our luggage was appreciated as was his humour. Breakfast was fabulous, staff cheerful and very professional. A thoroughly good stop over and one we hope to enjoy again."     Close to town. Room a good size and bathroom shower excellent.

    A little too warm even in October. Bed was too soft. Television too small to be seen from bed. Would suggest a bed with only a headboard instead of a bedstead.

    cleanliness

    chip paper walls, pine slat bed, --in need of modernisation.Niagra Falls every time a toilet /shower above was in use. Car parking inadequate, entrance blocked by vehicle at night(leaving access difficult with baby seat) The breakfast was not adequate but not impressive as others have claimed.
