    "zeker niet verkeerd, gezien prijs" (107372189)

    dicht bij centrum, goed betaalbaar, zeer ruime kamer! en klachten die we hadden, deden ze wel wat mee.

    eerst n kamer met vreselijke stank (waarschijnlijk afvoerkanaal v. restaurant ernaast, wel roommove gehad! toen werkte douche niet goed.

    "Afgezien van het waterongemak is dit hotel prima mede gezien de prijs. Het is prima geschikt als je alleen uit bent op bed en breakfast. Het hotel heeft geen bar en geen lounge waar je kunt verblijven tijdens een regenachtige dag." (107752408)

    Bedden waren goed, het beddegoed fris en handdoek verschoning elke dag. Prima.

    Bij aankomst was er geen water. Bleek iets te zjn met de waterleiding. Na twee dagen nog geen water. Veel gezeurd en uiteindelijk een andere kamer gekregen. Algemeen: Het ontbijt was elke dag hetzelfde. De inrichting was wel aan een opknapbeurt toe.

    "It was ok but the room and facilities need updating. I am staying again in December so will be looking for improvements by then." (107811529)

    It is in a great location and is reasonably priced. The breakfast was served quickly and the dining room has been redecorated and now includes a plasma tv which made it more relaxing.

    The paint in the room is pretty shabby and could do with a touch up. The shower did not stay upright and the shower tray was blocked causing the water to remain whilst in the shower.

    Cheap by not cheerful!

    Bed linen/covers were worn out, carpets looked worn, lift was old and heavy (good job I was not old or disabled), TV was small and stuck in a corner, no shampoo, milk was passed sell by date.

    the bedroom had coffee stains on the wall, needs re decorating, tile in bathroom broken, the shower temperature could not be controlled- either hot or cold

    nice clean room, pleasant people on duty, the hotel staff were careful about who was coming in and out of the hotel which made us feel safe. Very close to the main Princess Street.

    directions for the hotel from the booking confirmation took us the long way around but no complaints other than that!

    very nice breakfast, overall what is offered is good value for the money sent.

    hotel needs general updating, access to rooms is tough for people with limited mobility.

    Good position for Waverley Station and a good base for exploring the city.

    Rooms need to be modernised/brought up to higher standard. The bathroom light/shaver point in my room was badly cracked and inoperative.Hot water from the bathroom tap was not available unless the shower was first turned on. A radiator frequently was noisy.

    Good value for money. Easy to find parking close by. Easy to walk in to town from the hotel.

    Light bulb above bed had 'blown'; extractor fan and radiator in shower room not working.

    Approachable staff, night manager pleasant, great location, friendly breakfast staff

    Public toilets need attention, one of the doors jammed I had to climb and pull hard to open it. No soap. Warm not hot water in the shower no shampoo only soap in the shower room On a cold day to have left the window open when I arrived at 6.30pm showed housekeeping need to be more aware. No menu for breakfast, the main full scottish breakfast was fine but it would be nice to be asked what one would like to eat from the set plate. Some people may not like eggs or tomatoes , actually I liked it all but just a wee pointer. Old style lift with two doors to close, one could get stuck inside if someone on another floor tried to open the outside door on their floor, a circuit is broken, be aware of this as the management have hightlighted it but easy to get caught

    incredibly bad smell in our room and in the hallways. a smell of old cooking and fungus/moth and bad air. when opening the window the smell only increased!

    Hotel was ideally situated, just accross the road from the Playhouse and also the cinema. Price was great - well worth it - and the shower was fantastic!

    Hotel could have done with a bit of a facelift, but overall clean and comfortable.

    Everything was clean, beds were comfy, shower was good, breakfast was nice. It was very good value for money.

    Basic, with decor that could do with an update. Not a reason not to come back, tho.

    Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Very tranquil, especially considering the proximity to the busy neighbouring road. Excellent value for money. Hotel situated in a great location: surrounded by clubs, bars, pubs, restaurants, shopping facilities, cinema, and in a very scenic spot.

    Breakfast finished serving a little too early.

    room was clean, bright and comfortable.

    despite the hotels description of ironing/iron facilities, there was only one ironing board,and one iron for the whole hotel. when i asked for it, i was told it was out, the receptionist didnt know which room had it, and was very reluctant to even try and find out. needless to say, i had to go out in looking very creased. when he said it was a budget hotel, i reminded him that an irioning board and iron were not expensive, and advised that prehaps a booking out system where the person who takes them writes down their room nuber in a book. really basic and simple stuff that this hotel hasnt seemed to have grasped. oh, and at the weekend, because its on a main road with a nightclub nearby, expect to be kept awake from hours of 23:00- 04:00

    12 minutes walking from the train station and the bus stop from the airport. 2 minutes from the bus station. Traditional breakfast (buffet) included.

    Old building. Some rooms are in a poor conditions. The time for breakfast start at 7.30, perhaps is too late for somebody who need fly in the morning. When I'm going to stay more than one day I don't like to pay when arriving.
