    Staff were friendly.

    Very good breakfast. Well appointed restaurant. Pleasant and interesting location.

    Noise from exterior freezer condenser very intrusive at night ( Room 7).This unit also interfered with the TV picture,suppressor required. Winter weight duvets much too heavy for summer use.Long standing extensive damp damage on wall around mirror. En-suite door mechanism faulty,extractor fan unit not working, mould in shower area, water from shower drained onto floor & ran along front of bath.

    Quiet, good sized room, nice view of the Castle.

    Decor tired, water stains and peeling wallpaper. En-Suite extractor fan faulty/noisy TV very small and antiquaited, needed binoculars to watch it from the bed! Hotel had a nice Conservatory, but at no point were we offered the opportunity to eat breakfast or an evening meal in there. The only time it seemed to be used was for local Rotarian meeting and Bridge Club! No reading or TV lounge available.

    We have stayed at the hotel previously - it is comfortable, well placed, reasonably priced and offers a good selection of meals either in the bar or restaurant. Size of rooms varies, but this is not reflected in the price (perhaps it should be?)

    None, except for elderly or disabled there is no lift to the upper floors

    The room was clean and bright. The hotel was clean and bright. The breakfast was excellant. the staff were very friendly and helpful.The hotel was in a good position in town.

    "It suited us this time. I would not rule it out for future visits to the area but would definitely not book it for my (elderly) parents as they now need to be able to sit comfortably in supportive chairs and rest." (107220393)

    The staff were very pleasant, helpful and polite. Although we only ate breakfast in the hotel, it was very good and we would have eaten an evening meal there if we had been in the vicinity at the time - our itinerary was busy, nothing to do with the hotels catering times. Everything worked in the room and I can't say that about every hotel I've stayed in! The hotel is very well maintained and clean, particularly considering that the building is old (and charming), which will make this more difficult.

    Accomodation was a little cramped and basic for the cost; there were no seating areas for hotel guests other than the public bar which had firm seating and there were no easy chairs in the room, so it was not particularly inviting to stay inside. As we were busy this did not matter, but could be improved. The hotel did not have internet access - we were aware of this when we booked but it would be useful to install it.

    Excellent location.

    Room was small to the point of being cramped as was the bathroom. Bathroom cleanliness was not that good.

    Clean & Friendly

    The room next door were noisy in the middle of the night(1am) and when asked to be quiet we recieve verbal abuse.

    Its position close to the town centre was ideal, the view from our bedroom was the stunning castle, very quiet at night, very relaxing

    The grouting in our bathroom needed a bit of TLC (room 5)

    Close to Warkworth Castle. Our bedroom overlooked the Castle. Clean and central location for touring. Generous breakfasts.

    Would have liked a few friendly comments. Staff seemed too busy to enjoy their work. For example it would have been nice to be asked if we had enjoyed our stay when we checked out.

    "we would like to have known if there were different (ie better) rooms available. The hotel could do with the presence of a manager as our arrival seemed to be dealt with by a waitress who could not find our booking. However, everyone was very friendly and with a bit of sprucing up the hotel could be very good." (99517979)

    Pokey little room. Not a very good quality bed. Cold bathroom with no form of heating.

    "unfortunately we chose to eat at the same time as the Rotary which meant we had a very long wait. The staff were very apologetic and offered complimentary drinks and sweets by way of compensation which went a long way to sooth ruffled feathers.     No full-length mirror only one bedside light fan in bathroom made a terrible noise just before it stopped!
