    The service was very good, as was the food, although dinner was expensive. The room was clean and the bed reasonably comfortable.

    Water for both the bath and the shower was cold for a long time and did not ever really heat adequately. For the price of the room, the decor was a bit tacky and the bathroom was very small.

    Lovely Room we ended up in. Staff great.

    The internet pics were misleading as was the writing. The 1st room we were shown to was totally unsatisfactory and unlike the pics.

    Fantastic gardens, amazing herbacous borders - take the time to walk round - they have two gardeners to do it! Good restruant

    "Lovely place, lovely people, beautiful setting, warm, comfortable, and reasonable value. Would defintiely stay again, love the wildlife and the walk in the garden (a bit of litter in the creek though." (97828855)

    Comfortable bed, host stayed up to wait for us as late arrivals, lovely setting

    floor excessively creaky, bathroom had some seal that was the worse for ear and age, not a greta finish. Breakfast just a little paltry.

    "This is an excellent hotel for a leisure break, superb rural setting and can't fault the service or the rooms. Leisure facilities appear to be new and are kept in excellent order, as are the surrounding gardens. We were only there for one night for a wedding but plan to visit again soon for a longer break."     Clean and well laid out.

    Hard to find is the only negative.

    Location. Excellent food.

    Small room. Too hot and unable to open windows more than 6 inches. No lift.
