    Comfortable rooms and a good breakfast

    The building and paths need attention especially some of the paving flagstone around the building; they could cause trips and injury to your customers The Hotel is looking rather shabby,it needs some Tender Loving Care

    The breakfast was excellent. The bacon/sausage/mushroom breakfast was the best I had enjoyed from a hotel.

    The room was set for a single occupant and I had to ask the Receptionist where the other towels were kept. On being told I also found the romm tea making facilities. I was surprised that I could take the room key when I was out of the hotel. If there was a fire, how would the staff know if I was in or out of the room.

    Public areas were clean and staff attentive

    Room was very tired and old fashioned and not nearly the standard of other Macdonald hotels I have stayed in e.g. Aviemore.

    Room clean and comfortable with all necessary facilities, tea, coffee, etc.

    Asking what we wanted for breakfast before we'd even sat down then clearing up arround us to meet 10am deadline (on a Sunday). Unable to source a taxi without £8 minimum spend as apparently all come from Warrington. This is a problem that needs solving, not relaying to customers.

    "If I had known that I would be given a single room that the staff tried to pass off as a double I would never have booked with you. I will be taking advice and will be incontact with the hotel group. There was no manager or assiatnt manager to talk to only a temp and a junior member of staff who although willing mostly shrugged and said sorry but little esle. Thsi hotel is clearlly very badly managed and is not ineterested in overnight guests. I would strongly advise you do not stay or book this hotel." (97424200)

    I do not like to be conned. When I book a double room I do not want to sleep in a 4foot bed. A standard double bed is 4ft 6inches. I will be taking this further. Its a disgrace. No general manager or assiatnt manager to discuss with. How can you work with this hotel?

    Hotel created a first impression and lived upto it throughout our stay.

    When using the Restaurant found the tables for two people only, very disappointing.

    "The hotel has been extended and modernised, not suprising as I last visited over 35 years ago. The dining room still retains the period feel, the bedrooms are clean and comfortable.     Pleasant for a modern extension to an older hotel.

    No smoke free zone in the bar area. No covered or enclosed walkway between bedrooms and reception/ dining area.

    "A really nice hotel in a nice quiet location. The staff were very pleasant. The room was fanastic with lots of little extras. And the breakfast was out of this world. Anything and everything you could imagine for breakfast was there ! Well done. Keep up the good service." (3304911888)

    The room was fantastic with every little luxury you can think of (apart from a mini bar!) thrown in.

    Fiddley key locks with big key fobs. Would be much better with an entry card system.

    The Lymm Hotel is situated in a great location for easy access to Chester and the surrounding area. It was comfortable, clean and the service was excellent.

    Cleanliness and quite

    Location from room to reception was open had to wait until rain cleared. Lock on room door difficult to open -did not funtion properly. Tempreture control on shower did not work had to have a cold shower.

    "Hotel is OK for a stay of a night or two. There are really only 2 complaints that I have. 1. When my room service meal was delivered it was not accompanied by any condiments. (Salt,pepper,sauces etc). Perhaps the chef feels his meals do not need anything else? Having said this the meal was good. 2. The cooked breakfast in the dining room took a long time in coming to the table, (some 20 minutes after being ordered). Considering it was only 2 fried eggs with bacon it was not really worth the wait as the toast was by now cold & the eggs & bacon were pretty run of the mill." (3304581901)

    Spacious enough, but I had a double room but with sole occupancy. Not sure what a single room would have been like.

    Really did not dislike anything about the room.

    "Although the hotel was empty (6 cars in car park when we arrived and no functions) we had to complain to get a reasonable room. We were initially given a tiny, hot, stuffy room over the kitchens on one of the hottest days of the year (Frid 28 Jul 2006). This is the second time it has happened (previously in the Park Royal in May) and we suspect that because the hotel know we are paying a budget rate of " (3304707419)

    It was in the annexe, which suited us fine overlooking a small wood and not on the noisy side of the hotel. It was very similar too a hundred similar rooms I have used in hotels all over the world.

    The hotel is showing it's age and badly in need of a refit. The facilities are not well thought out, the tea making facilities have to be brought out of the wardrobe on a tray and takes up most of the dressing table.

    "Lymm Hotel is well situated in a lovely Cheshire village with good links to the major cities of the northwest. Unfortunatley the room we had was tired and the decor was dated. Found the bed uncomfortable. Could hear other guests upstairs both in their bathroom and their bed!! Reception thought we were booked in for 1 night when my confirmation printout clearly showed 2. Bar was expensive in my opinion. Staff sometimes seemed nonchalant and/or inexperienced." (2879496)

    Good Location. Bar was ok but expensive. Good choice at breakfast.

    Decor and furnishings in rooms needs to be udpated.

    rooms need to be ready on time. check in avail from 2 yet we arrived at 3.30 and room not cleaned , when moved to another room it smelt , no tv remote , kettle leaked

    "There were four of us travelling and we had booked two twin rooms on the Internet. On arrival only one room with 3 beds was available which, while adequate, was not very comfortable.     The hotel was very tidy and our breakfast experinece in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel Duty Manager was really very helpful and pleasant. Very nice location.

    Very poor check-in staff. Not very customer friendly.
