    Actual room was very clean

    Reception was very dingey and smelly. There was a huge gap between the floor and the door in my room which allowed the landing light to flood through.

    1. L'ottima posizione della struttura: centralissimo ed in un bel quartiere, attaccato al British Museum e a due passi da Covent Garden, Soho, Piccadilly. 2. La disponibilità a soddisfare le nostre richieste come ad esempio la sostituzione quotidiana degli asciugamani o la fornitura di adattatori per le prese elettriche. 3. Noi siamo stati fortunati perchè abbiamo prenotato una doppia ma ci hanno dato una tripla (letto matrimoniale + letto singolo)-stanza n°55 al 1° piano di Gresham Annexe- ed il 2° giorno ci hanno pure sostituito il vecchio materasso -terribile- con uno nuovo.

    1. Ovviamente la moquette per terra (ma è una cosa tipica..va bè!) 2. Scarso concetto di pulizia (qualche centimetro di polvere attaccata ai muri, pareti estremamente bisognose di una tinteggiata di bianco, armadio fatiscente, ante della doccia sporche, assenza dello scopino per il wc) 3. Bagno in camera recentemente ristrutturato ma piccolissimo 4. tra i "gadget da toilette" niente cuffia per doccia, bagnoschiuma o altro ma solo un misera tavoletta di sapone pronta all'uso (già aperta, senza confezione!) 2. Street piuttosto trafficata già dal mattino presto e stanze non insonorizzate 3. Albergo frequentato per lo più da giovani e di conseguenza piuttosto rumoroso. P.S. non ispezionate il cuscino o non riuscirete più a dormirci!!!

    Very convenient location (backing onto British Museum), easy travel, wide range of local restaurants. Quiet (I was in a room facing away from the road). Given a large double room when I had only booked and paid for a single room.

    This is a budget hotel, so does not have its own restaurant: to get breakfast, go to a local coffee shop (there are many of them). The room was in an Annexe a few doors down the street, so I had to go to the main reception to check in. While the bathroom looked recently refurbished, the bedroom was in need of decoration.

    Staff polite and friendly, booking process simple and efficient, hotel clean and welcoming, 24 hour opening. Room large, quiet and very comfortable, with useful desk and lamp.

    No plug-point for recharging mobile in my room; en-suite facility small and plastic wash-bowl scratched.(no soap or tooth glass at first but both available promptly on request) Over-bed light switch broken, phone difficult to operate with no external line phone instructions in room.

    El hotel esta muy bien situado y el precio no es caro (y menos si tenemos en cuenta la ubicacion)

    Reserve una habitacion doble con 2 camas y al llegar por problemas no habia ninguna y aunque me dieron 2 hab. simples por el mismo precio, creo q esas cosas se han de informar antes por si interesa mas buscar otros sitios (que en mi caso no fue asi)

    "poor - i on retrospect realise i should have paid more though -i have stayed in budget accommodation in paris, rome, venice and prague and had better experiences ranging from tollerable to vfm luxury this is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. it was only 2 nights and the location was ideal the clean bedding was the saving grace.     location clean sheets and towels the reception staff were not rude and on seeing my thin pillow folded in half the maid left me an extra one

    it was generally dirty and in a poor state of repair - the toilet cystern leaked fluid into the shower tray whenever flushed - the walls were thin so the noise of the sex occurring in the next door was intrusive and obviously they had inadequate privacy - i was in the anex which obviously had poor security with no reception i was strongly advised to leave nothing of value in my room

    The Hotel was easy to find and the bathroom although small was very nice

    The decor was in serious ned of renovation and the the whole place smelt like in needed a good clean although the bed was clean. The staff were surly and looked bored. The fact you need to go to reception to be let in to the annexe of the hotel was annoying and it would have been better if they gave people a key for this at reception. I have stayed in many hotels and this was not worth the money (£85 per night). Other London Hotels I have stayed in for a similar price have been much better.

    clean room, warm, towel and soap, sink in room, TV, lighting, mirrors. Freedom to come and go at all hours. polite efficient staff. cupboard space and desk if needed.

    carpets worn, shower not too clean. Unclear how to lock door. Noisy through thin walls.

    The receptionist didn't make you feel welcome. No tea/coffee facilities and no breakfast.The room we stayed in needs a new coat of paint and the en-suit is too small. Very noisey due to main road

    The sheets were clean. The en suite shower room was good

    The room smelt damp. Bare light bulb in the ceiling, curtains falling off their hooks, thin, lumpy mattress on one of the beds, carpet was past its sell by date, finger nail cuttings left on the window sill from a previous occupant.

    The staff attempted to be helpful.

    I stayed in an annex section, which meant that you needed to be in by midnight or you would not have access to your room. The room was excessively small, little more than a closet, even by European standards. The one electrical outlet in the room did not work. Everytime you left tyour room you needed to go down the street and turn in your key, otherwise there was no way you could get back into the annex part of the hotel. It was a very noisy room.

    Location was excellent. Room was on top floor and quiet-away from traffic. We actually ended up in a twin room because the double room on the bottom floor was very small and dark-but twin was fine-just pushed the beds togther!

    Bathroom was tiny-could have had a shower whilst on the toilet-smelt pretty bad as well.

    The bed and shower was clean. good location for west end and shopping

    The whole place needs decoration so don't expect nice surroundings the furnishings have seen better days. The room was not cleaned and we waited 2 hours for the room to be ready after we had travelled 350 miles from yorkshire, and we booked at least 6weeks in advance.

    "Für London ist das Hotel zu schlecht und zu teuer. " (107414164)

    kann keine finden ausser dass das Hotel fuer meine Angelegenheiten günstig gelegen ist. Leider gab es an diesem Tag nirgendwo freie Zimmer, so dass dies eine Notlösung war.

    Zerrissener Teppich, schmutzige Fensterscheiben, Waschbecken im Zimmer könnte sauberer sein (tropfende Wasserhähne), das Bett könnte mal eine neue Matratze vertragen, die Tür zur einen Dusche auf dem Flur klemmte, die Toiletten waren anfangs noch sauber, später nicht mehr - es kümmert sich offensichtlich niemand darum, dass auch mal Toilettenpapier nachgelegt werden muss. Das Hotel macht einen heruntergekommenden Eindruck.

    Dirty,Poorly maintained,En suite facility was a joke. Staff had no interest in customers. The lack of any maintenance and cleaning was abysmal.Thick dust on window ledge. Dirty bathroom facility which was infact a 'cubby hole'. Extractor system broken revealing filth in pipe. Soap dish dirty, storage accomodation dirty. Generally run down and unhygenic. Lighting broken.

    Everything somehow functioned. Very close to British Museum, central, nice environment. Not dirty.

    Cheap, absolute minimum. Reception staff obviously not very well trained, tried to do their job, and did OK, but you know how it is, you don't feel as much as ease as you would with someone who had learned how to behave with a customer. I'm 1:80, and just so fitted into the bed, for a taller person it would be impossible to sleep in it without curling up like a foetus (you can't have your feet hanging out over the end because there's the bathroom cubicle). Similarly, the bathroom was so minute that one was almost standing in the toilet when having a shower; water a trickle, which is not unusual with UK plumbing, though, and good for the environment, so I won't complain about that. Everything old and ramshackle; the bathroom therefore a bit mouldy, with a mysterious belt hanging down behind the toilet. No curtain to ward off view from opposite the street during day; the drape that was there, was partly falling off (but did its job). No tea (water boiler, cup etc.) as you usually get in UK hotels, not even a plastic cup so that you can drink some water or use it when brushing your teeth. Also note that the rooms (at least in the annexe that I was in) all face a street with a lot of traffic. So you either leave the window shut or you have to bear quite some noise. Atmosphere, especially in the reception area, a bit like a youth hostel (e.g. big signs warning you that the hotel cannot guarantee that your things aren't stolen).

    The location

    They haven't got left luggage faccility. The room is not nice. They don't serve breakfast. The shower room is enough small, my suggest is go naked

    Dirty hotel and rude staff. Attempted to put me in worst room with dirty sheets and covers. Very basic room room. When I entered the hotel, there were dirty mattresses on staircases leading up to room.

    Rooms were not very nice. The room i was in, the bathroom window overlooked the hallway with people walking past and not curtain up. Other rooms had no lights in the bathrooms.

    Staff was very friendly and helpful.

    I did not get the kind of room I booked. The windows were not very good and it was therefore very loud. The walls were really thin so I could hear people in the next room making noise. The interior of the hotel is very old-fashioned and very basic. The shower and toilet were in one room with nothing but a curtain between them. There was no elevator and only narrow stairs so it was difficult to carry my luggage up into my room. The hotel staff did not offer to help carry my luggage.

    Central position, excellent for visiting London. Cost effective.

    Some bathroom can be renewed, from saturday night to sunday we don't have water in room.
