    Good car parking, good sized room, good restaurant/bar facilities, excellent reception and bar/restaurant staff

    "Having stayed in varius hotels,guesthouses etc,i mast say this hotel was the best by far.The whole stay was first class.I shall definately go there again and have already recommended it to friends." (108572902)

    Everything was good about this hotel from the moment we arrived.The staff,room and food were excellant.

    If i had to say one bad point it would be that the room was rather hot,but this really was not a problem.

    All aspects of the hotel were of top quality and the staff were particlarly helpful and friendly

    The staff were very helpful and we were always greeted with a smile. The resturant staff were very attentive and the food service was very quick

    The bedroom was very hot and there was no air conditioning, although the hotel provided a fan, The rooms were on the ground floor with patio doors which was lovely during the day time but being on the ground floor these could not be left open during the night

    Rooms very clean and functional. Hotel and grounds well kept.

    Breakfast time was too early. Also 90 mins is too short which meant waiting staff were too busy. This led to mistakes with orders and slow service.

    Very pleasant staff on arrival; room comfortable; breakfast great; on leaving; staff again were very pleasant and helpful - I look forward in staying again.

    There are none! although a very minor point, the shower could do with an adjustment - pressure was low and temp not easy to control.

    Good hotel, had a pleasant stay. Delicious breakfast.

    Only one set of towels. On arrival hotel had no knowledge of our booking. Luckily they had a room.

    Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms.

    Not many. There were a couple of bare wires by the TV mains plug. I think the plug for the video recrder had been removed but wasn't sure and didn't want to check. The recommended taxi firm (Kingsbury taxis) was expensive. Room was very hot.

    Very helpful staff, very clean, good sized and equipped rooms.

    Rooms are very 'corporate' in their decor - which is unlike the impression of a 'boutique' hotel which they try and give on the web site. Beds were extremely spongy.

    Our room had no ventilation other than opening a patio door which opened to a field on the ground floor (not a safe feeling at night). Shower was pathetic, facilities were dated. Although the hotel was practically empty they sent us to a room through a maze of corridors to the furthest spot from the front desk. Dinner in the restaurant was terrible, using frozen vegtables in the summer.

    "My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at The Hollies and will definitely visit again. The staff were relaxed, friendly and very helpful indeed.     The room was very clean and well presented whith mini bar items that were charged at normal prices. A rare bonus in my opinion!

    The room was quite warm during the night.

    "Pleasant hotel, excellent breakfast. The only slight difficulty was with telephones. On arrival we had to pick up a 'phone to autodial someone to come to Reception. I think the autodialler was faulty, as there was a long delay before it kicked in, thus a long wait to check-in. On checking out the 'phone system was down, and my credit card could not be processed - no great problem, but again another delay, which might have been important, had we been in a hurry.     Modern decor, well maintained gardens, very clean, efficient staff, and excellent food.

    We felt that the breakfast time would be better if extended to 9.30 am or even 10am, rather than 9. After all, guests may be on holiday, as we were! If you enjoy a late evening, as we did, in the bar and restaurant, it is a slight disappontment to have to get up early, especially. It is also a struggle to enjoy a full english breakfast so soon after a lovely evening meal.

    Rooms spacious and well thought out, also patio doors to an outside seating area nice in the summer. The food is basic but decent enough.

    Accomodation is fine, although the picture is not really the hotel, the rear of this building is the new build with the hotel rooms therefore it is not as old as it looks. The hotel allows one hour for breakfast which is fine if no one is staying at the hotel. However it was busy when we stayed and therefore breakfast was busy, the staff are pleasant enough but it would be much better if breakfast was served over a longer period.

    Very nice character. Traditional feel outside with conference-centre feel inside. Good breakfast and dinner, friendly staff, lovely gardens and classic homey pub/restaurant, comfortable room, quaint little town.

    Courtyard lights were left on too late.

    "A charming 17th century farmhouse forms the main restaurant and bar area, both decorated in a style that compliments the building. Very comfortable and clean rooms that open up on to very nice and maintained grounds overlooking the beautiful surrounding country side, as well as qaulity and friendly service made our stay very enjoyable.
