    Good breakfast with plenty of options, good ensuite facilities, room was nice & tidy.

    tastefull decor & good value. The beds are of good quality & comfy

    Bath & shower area water damaged Req refurb. Noise from downstairs rooms (poss party). But did not distract from the pleasure of staying there

    Great location, very good and friendly service

    Unusual entrance, but ok once you got used to it. Decor a little tired.

    close to shopping and tube

    did not realize it did not have a restaurant for guests only if you having a function,breakfast was very limited, TV only gave one Chanel, felt like you did not belong to the hotel!!!!

    "Had hoped for somewhere quiet and comfortable. I feel that rooms next to lift shaft should be lower price as they are not quiet and the noise kept me awake. This was annoying as there was no lift to the floor that we were on (third floor) and it was the motor room for the lift that was so noisy. Wallpaper and soft furnishings were grubby and stained in places, which gave the room an air of not being good quality. TV reception was rubbish. The bed was large and comfortable and the 24 hour room service was good. The shower was weak and alternated betwen extremes in temperature. Most of the rooms on the second floor (accessible by lift) were taken up by offices -I'd suggest that the offices should be moved to the rooms next to the lift shaft so that staff rather than guests are inconvenienced by the noise and the lack of lift access to the third floor. I feel the room was over-priced because of the problems I've mentioned above. I'd only stay again if I was guaranteed a cleaner room with a functioning shower, on the second floor (assuming that there is no noise coming from the function suite)" (97332535)

    Warm room, comfortable bed, bath, room service

    Noise from lift shaft kept me awake until 1pm and from 6am. Bed spread and other soft furnishings were stained. Wallpaper dirty and stained in places. Shower was weak and kept going from scalding hot to icy cold

    "Although the entrence to the hotel is unusual (you enter via a lift) the staff were only too willing to help out with any requirements. The room was clean and tidy and quite adequate for my needs even though they appologised for the size and stated that they would try and provide me with a larger room next stay. The room required decorating due to marks on the wallpaper and what looked like scorch marks from the TV. Overall I would readily recommend this hotel - it is just round the corner from the underground, easy to fine, close to the centre and quiet with no noticable traffic noise. There is even an NCP carpark next door!" (99412734)

    "Very helpful staff. Getting in or out by the lift can be a bit slow, especially during the daytime as it is also used for deliveries. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, but room service will bring a nice tray. They will store luggage which we found very useful. We went to drop off a suitcase before check-in time (although actually the room was already ready so they just checked us in), and then left it there until the afternoon on our last day." (99448931)

    The staff were very helpful and friendly with the serivce being of a high standard, the room was very comfortable.

    The party rooms for the function

    Old fabric, old decor, holes in walls where radiators once were,no water pressure 15 mins for bath to half fill. Dirty shower curtain etc etc- very dated hotel - old lift

    "The hotel in every way met the expectations I had from the website on which it is promoted - it is very comfortable, wonderfully located for easy walks around Knightsbridge, Belgravia and Chelsea. The hosts were very attentive and caring for us as guests - excellent>" (3304733010)

    Small hotel, ideally located, very attentive personalised service, well priced, very comfortable room

    The access to and egress from the hotel was unusual being via an elevator with manual doors direct to the street - however once getting used to this method it was quite fun but not so good for elderly folks.

    "Hotel entry method is very poor and would have caused me in itself to seek alternative if I had had the time. My expecteations were very low and in fact the hotel was superior to those low expectations. Hotel staff were excellent, enthusiastic helpful and cheerful, (a strength), and hence raised my opinion of the stay. The room and ensuite were large for the price however the decor and furnishings were quite delapidated and old style. e.g (very obvious ironing burn mark on bedspread), (bright floral wallpaper).Bathroom was well finished. Would I use this hotel again, probably not. With an improved entry method and less forgotton feel about the place then yes. Value was top notch, excellent rate for a central London hotel in a good area, with easty transport access to tourist London however I personally would pay extra to have the feel of a standrd hotel. Lift entry just a little to weird for my liking. Receiving this questionaire so quickly does raise my expectations of your the company in general and are to be congratulated in seeking such opiniuon. Strengths - Excellent Value, Friendly cheerful staff, central London locaction, easy tube access, large room for price. Weaknesses- Unique & poor entry, rundown feel." (3304671690)

    The stabdard was in fact better than I had expected see next box.

    Enrance mechanism. In fact when I read the means of entry I probably would have cancelled if I had the time to book an alternative. My expectations were hence very low.

    "The treatment of myself and my wife by the young girl on the reception was nothing short of exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she made our stay there a night to remember. She is an absolute credit to your organisation. Please pass on our heart-felt thanks to her" (1701743)
