    staff polite

    room small. furniture too dark and heavy looking which made room look too dark! Just felt room could do with looking brighter, even the bedding!

    the basement room was extremely noisy with pdrunk pedestrians and traffic directly outside and ABOVE me. I suspect I was next door to staff quarters because there were people with european accesnts coming and going throughout the whole night having loud conversations. I DIDNT SLEEP A WINK ALL NIGHT

    Very good reception and room was ready on arrival. The room was small, but clean and tidy. Nor was it noisy on the 3rd floor. The hotel position with regard travel is excellent. We enjoyed our stay!

    "Did not sleep very well because of room temperature. Apart from that it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel was very convenient for Royal Albert Hall and Natural History Museum - both in easy walking distance." (107656503)

    The staff at the hotel were excellent - very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and complimentary fruit and papers on executive floor were very welcome.

    The room was exceedingly hot with no obvious means of reducing the temperature. Tap dripped in shower all night! The room was very small but was aware it was a budget room when booked so no suprise.

    Very central, nice shower, high ceilings, pleasant restaurant staff. The room was not spacious, but as good as it gets in a central London hotel. Electronic safe in the wardrobe.

    Working order of facilities was not good. Neither bedside lamp worked, and the desk lamp head was loose at the switch, although I don't think that there was any danger of electrocution. Both basin taps needed to be turned full circle several times before any water came out: just an irritation.

    Stayed in room 208. You could not move in the room and i had to go to the doctor yesterday as i had back problems after staying in your hotel. The matress was so bad. It folds in the middle.

    Put in basement room which was very noisy through the night with cleaning staff working above. Lost a lot of sleep.

    The room was very comfortable and spacious, especially the bed!

    We didn't appreciate being woken up at 8.15 to have our room cleaned because we didn't think to put the sign up. If people are on holiday and leaving the hotel by 10, it can be expected that they will have a bit of a lie in and then be clearing up their belongings before leaving around 10. Having someone come in when you're still in bed is embarrassing all around.

    It was nice and close to the Royal Albert Hall. Fairly reasonable price for the area. The receptionist was polite and friendly and the check in was quick and efficient. Room was clean and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Overall, very happy

    No complaints at all.

    The location is great and the outside of the building and the entrance look good.

    The rooms were very old fashioned with stains on the carpet and moist stains on the ceilings. Not important, but the promised towel warmers did not work. The breakfast did not include ham or cheese; those could be bought separately but I think it should be included standard.

    "I would have appreciated knowing the dimensions of the single room accomodation. Being used to staying in double rooms, it came as a shock to discover just how narrow and confined the actual space a single room provided. The staff were found to be personable, courteous and professional throughout my stay. They were also particularly helpful and provided practical advice to visitors not acquainted with the vaguries of the London Transport system. The dining room / breakfast room was servicable and clean. This was complimented by an efficient and pleasant team of waitresses. Overall, my stay was acceptable. I found that the hotel was a reasonable and quiet and environment in which to spend an overnight stay at a very reasonable tarrif." (97362087)

    The reputation of the Hotel Company was a determining factor in my choice of accommodation. I had previous experience of the Hotel Group during my previous visits to Australia and New Zealand. The location of the Kensington Plaza was important since it offered my being in close proximity to where my friend's were residing in London.The hotel was also close to an Underground station with direct links to Kings Cross & St Pancras stations.The hotel lounge was particularly welcoming and inviting and provided an opportunity to escape my single room which was somewhat claustrophobic in its dimensions.

    My single room was a little narrow but, since I was only staying the one night,it was sufficient in that all the usual facilities were provided.

    Everywhere was clean and in good decorative order. The bed was comfortable.

    The room was far too small. The length of the bed being the width of the room and sighted beside the window making drawing the curtains difficult.

    Bedroom window would not stay open. Would have liked more choice for breakfast ie. cold meats and cheeses which are normal in a Continental breakfast. Croissants poor.

    "The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotless and comfortable. As an infrequent traveller to London, I was frequently disorientated when exiting tube stations. Directions to the hotel could include the now obvious information that one walks 50m left upon exiting the Gloucester Rd tube station." (3304903637)

    "Both rooms were very clean and in good decoartive order with pleasant colour schemes. The single room was definitely 'compact' Our rooms overlooked the main road and the secondary double glazing was missing from one of the windows of the double room, which meant we were disturbed by excessive street noise. The water supply to the cold tap in the basin did not work and it took two requests to reception before the problem was resolved." (3304346966)
