    Excellent location in Knightsbridge, but yet the street was quiet. The hotel room was beautiful and the four poster bed quite comfortable. Huge walk in closet and large bathroom. Staff at the front desk was very helful.

    The internet wireless internet connection was strong and work well, but was very high cost. I would suggest a free connection, or at least something that was more reasonable in price.

    Very friendly staff, central location and no sound of through traffic as Beaufort Gardens is a Cul de Sac.

    There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

    "This hotel is set in a beautiful location on Beaufort gardens and there is easy access to the tube and other areas of interest. However the rooms looked a great deal more invitiing in the online pictures and I dont think I shall stay again. " (107253225)

    Beds were two singles pushed together but we ordered a double The were no quilts on the beds, only sheets and an itchy blanket There was no kettle in the room The hotel was advertised as having sky tv but there was only a selection of 17 channels.

    The young lady on reception when we arrived was very helpful.

    The room was small, but I was expecting that as we had got the room for a good price. The room was shabby, the chair was threadbare but it appeared fairly clean. There was something very strange down the toilet, which didn't flush away. The shower head was so badly lime scaled that the shower was not usable as the water went every which way except for down! My husband had to take the shower head off and scrape off the limescale before we could use it. In the morning the Breakfast took over 30 minutes to arrive, other customers who arrived at breakfast after us were served with a cooked breakfast before us. When the cooked breakfast arrived it looked like it had been standing around for a while in the kitchen. The eggs were hard, the mushrooms were cold, the rest of the breakfast was tepid. When I mentioned to the waitress about the standard of the food she did offer to replace it but we had been waiting for over 30 minutes and our car was on the parking meter outside. When asked why it had taken so long she said that poached eggs take longer than scrambled eggs and therefore the other customers were served first! I spoke to the receptionist who told me he was the deputy manager, telling him of our breakfast experience and that we didn't want to pay for some elements of the breakfast, he looked at the bill and said that we were already getting the room for a very good rate and that the breakfast was complimentary. I can only assume from that, that it is acceptable to receive a badly cooked breakfast! I told him I was not satisfied with his reply and asked for the name of the owner and will be writing to complain about the service we received.

    "The location is prime catch also the size is uinqe . When i booked was for three nights and i had a hard copy of my reservation while at the front desk she was saying that only one night is avalable. It took view mintes to straght that aut . When arriving from long gerny no one needs more than a bed to sleep on to get rest . I hope things dose not happen again simply because i like your hotel ." (97704816)

    "The hotel is in a is a busy area but being on a side road traffic cannot be heard,within easy walking distance to the underground. Although no tea/coffee making facilities in the room there is a quiet reading room to self serve yourself with either coffee/tea or chocolate/plus biscuits.     en-suite needed to be refurbished,tiles and bath need to be urgently replaced.No tea making facilities in room , although there is an area to make tea/coffee which is pleasent enough,it is usual to have this facility in the rooms,the sash window in the room banged with the wind we managed to fix this with some card.

Rich in old world elegance yet with all modern comforts and facilities.The balconies are inviting, would like to have known if they were accesible but as it was February the temptation was not there to try it out. The location was perfect the center of the city yet so quiet and near to parks all the shops and restaurants and art galleries and museums just a taxi ride away." (97392505)

    The colouring and general style of the furniture and furnishings was very beautiful .The bed was very comfortable as was the settee. The walk in wardrobe provided adequate space for clothes and luggage.The heating was easy to controle too. It was a pity that we were not sure whether or not the balconies were accesible(our fault we could have asked.)

    The breakfasts were awful! The cooked breakfasts were inedible; the poached eggs cooked until they were the consistency of plastic, the toast was tasteless plastic, the raw tomato was unripe and hard. A proper English cooked breakfast should have a lightly fried egg or poached so that the yolk is cooked but runny and the white is cooked but tender. Toast should be of brown or wholemeal bread and lightly toasted (there should be the offer of having well toasted or lightly toasted. The choices of cereal and fruit was good. The following is an observation which you should look into rather than a complaint; There was a loose tile surrounding the bath (it was movable and will let in dampness and in time,ruin the structure of the cladding of the bath. Also the grout around he bath itself had worn or been removed in s few places giving the impression of neglect. The sink stopper in one of the sinks was missing and the shower head came away from the wall, fortunately before I had turned the shower on. There could have been a nasty accident. Again a sign of neglect.

    Great location. Helpful staff, good English breakfast.

    The hangers in the closets are a very poor design. The plastic holder continuosly released and clothing falls to the floor. Most hotels hav a metal attachment.

    The room was a good size, as was the bed. The sheets were of excellent quality. The room was quiet, with a lovely aspect over the square.

    The razor point did not work. One of the sash windows was broken. The carpet was badly torn and dangerous outside the entrance to the room.The listings on the tlevision did not match those in the welcome pack, and the welcome pace itself was only half full.e

    "The hotel is situated in a central area just around the corner from Harrods, and yet in a quiet side street. I felt straight at home from the very minute that I set foot into the hotel. The check-in process was simple and uncomplicated, and after that I was brought to my room, before a member of staff brought the luggage. The room was clean, bright and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and geniuine throughout my stay. On other occasions in other hotels I have had the feeling that the friendliness was artificial, but here it felt sincere when I was wished a great day. Everytime I had a question or request the staff readily helped me. The hotel's entrance is secured with a code-lock which gave me an extra feeling of security. The only - very minor - downside was the fact that the reception was occupied only from 7.30 am to midnight meaning that if you didn't come back to the hotel before midnight, you would not get your keys to your room, unless you took it with you when you left. But since I had no intention of going out for too long, it didn't bother me at all. The breakfast menu was excellent too; you could choose between cereals, porridge, and a variety of fresh bakery (buns, croissants etc) from a buffet, or order hot breakfast. Everything was very well prepared and added to the comfort. All in all, I can say that I will definitely choose this hotel for my next London trip again." (99339064)

    The plumbing was a little challenging. Regulating the temperature of the water in the bathrooms did not always work well.

    "The staff in this hotel put a lot of care into to making sure it is a nice place to stay, and it works. Although my room was a bit pokey (it was the cheapest one I found on the web) and the lighting was rather poor, there was an impressive attention to detail, and a very clear commitment to making things as civilised as possible, from the soaps etc in the shower, to the breakfast. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in my room (thank goodness -- no space!) but I was close to a lounge that had all one needed, including decent biscuits. The breakfast was considerably superior to those in other budget London hotels I've stayed in, and the location was excellent for my needs (which did not include Harrods but easily could have). Value for money is an issue in a place like Knightsbridge, where nothing is cheap, but I paid less than 70 pounds for bed and breakfast -- elsewhere in that area it might easily have been over 100 for something less good, and although one can never say that it is 'worth it' at that price, it was much less painful to hand over the money there than in some of the unfriendly, soulless establishments I've stayed in before.     "The single room I stayed in was smaller than I expected. The shower and the toilet were separate and tiny...there was no place to hang the towel in the shower stall. On the plus side, there was an airconditioner in the room that worked and also a pedestal fan..blessings with the temperature inside the room getting stiflingly hot at night. The breakfast and the service were quite good. The lounge area with the complimetary tea, coffee and biscuits was a nice touch. The hotel staff in general were courteous and helpful.     Good lounge facility, good breakfast included in the room rate

    The water in the bathroom always ran hot - couldn't get cold water or even water at room temperature. I got scalded everytime I opened the tap. The elevator had a problem and you had to go down to the basement first to go anywhere.

    "The hotel is under some plan of renovation, so there are works in progress, and the lift is very unreliable. I did not know that my room would not be air conditioned and it was exceptionally hot in London during my stay. There is construction going on in the building behind and workers arrive early (between 7AM and 8 AM) during the week. Since windows were wide open because of the heat, it was quite noisy."     The staff, particularly the reception staff, is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The central location is perfectly placed for easy access to all the top London sites, particularly V&A Museum, Hyde Park, and Harrods. Very safe neighborhood made me, a woman traveling solo, comfortable.

    I purposely selected a single room with bath down the hall as a cost saving measure. This was fine (particularly as the room included a sink and WC), but the hall bath was not cleaned one of the days of my stay. Also, it needed a waste bin. The sheets on the bed were also not changed one day, just pulled up. The carpet needed deep cleaning. The room was very small, again okay and nicely decorated, but did need a chair at the desk--without one I had only the bed to sit on. A window AC would have been a blessing.

    I was very pleased with the courteous, prompt way I was moved to another - better- room when there was a problem with the separate bathroom for my single room. I also liked the location and convenience of this hotel.

    Reception was crowded and short of staff when I arrived and this could be improved on.

    "Although the room was very small I was glad to get accommodation at short notice in this hotel as it was very conveniently situated for the event I was attending.
