    Some very friendly staff that were keen to help and accomodate Clean

    Extremely expensive in comparrison to other hotels of same standard I mentioned the night before that I needed to leave at 8:30 in morning and was assured that staff would be around for breakfast from 8. At gone 8:20 I found someone.

    The place is difficult to find. If you use a sat nav don't use the postcode because this takes you onto an industrial estate.

    Room was excellent as was breakfast where service was very efficient.

    Menu in restaurant was limited and steak was bland and almost tasteless - needed salt to be added to provide any taste - disappointing. Items had been added to our bill which we had not had. When queried these were removed but should not have happened in the first place

    Food exceptionally good & staff very friendly

    No wireless broadband in rooms - had to take laptop downstairs into bar area for it to work. Not ideal when working with commercially sensitive or confidential data.

    Super little hotel. Family run, everyone very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Food suberb, Somerset cheese selection exquisite, and a selection of proper beers unlike the tastless fizz you get in the big chain hotels !

    None really. Water pressure in my room inconsistent and needs fixing, but didn't detract from my stay.

    "If you have to stay in Chard then the Lordleaze is as good as you will need. The Hotle is well kept and the grounds well maintained. Ignore the luddites about driving through a housing estate to get to it. I have to sometimes drive through a town to get to another town! The food is a bit pricey, but good. The staff are attentive with the room I stayed in decent." (97191309)

    "The hotel was well maintained, though the accommodation appeared slightly dated. Rooms were a reasonable size with a comfortable bed and reasonable en suite." (99478959)

    Rooms were comfy and offered all amenities required. Gardens looked lovely.

    Access through a housing estate was strange.

    "Very enjoyable. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous and I felt very much at home: this is a particularly important aspect of any stay as a solo female guest. The hotel is in an excellent location for most parts of Devon/Somerset/Dorset and I intend to use it again and would certainly recomend it to other potential guests." (3305236429)

    Clean, comfortable, good view and good facilities overall; part icularly liked the en suite facilities and the bath after a day's walking.

    A better internet facility would have been useful!

    Everything - although I didn't use the Restraunt facility, so I cant comment on that

    If I was to be very very picky it would be the lack of an extractor fan in the bathroom. But then it's not difficult to open a window so not really a problem

    "I stayed at the Lordleaze Hotel for five nights. It was an ideal hotel for touring around Somerset and Dorset. The staff were all helpful, friendly and yet discrete. The room was pleasant, very clean and quiet. The cooked breakfast was very good and no-one would leave feeling hungry! The evening meals were superb and all guests remarked on the quality and quantity. There was a large selection of quality wines. A remark I read about driving through an estate to reach the hotel is factual, but it is a tasteful estate and the farmhoue was there first so do not be put off by that." (3304597494)

    All the staff were extremely friendly and, as a single traveller, this was extremely important. Meals were fisrt class.

    "Directions for getting to hotel were good but did not mention passing through a new large housing estate which was a bit confusing since I thought the hotel to be quite isolated.It did however,stand in its own grounds well away from any houses. Food & service was excellent with a good choice for dinner & breakfast. Since there were only a few people staying it might have been nice to have some gentle background music to create atmosphere, especially in the dining room." (3304458406)

    "I called the Hotel prior to booking so l had an idea of the items available in the room. The room, food, staff surroundings were absolutely perfect, just sad that it was for only one night, but if we are ever in the area again, we will be staying at this Hotel." (2665496)

    I liked everything about the hotel. The cleanliness and all the items available ie. iron, ironing board, trouser press etc. The overall stay was excellent.

    I would find it hard to think of anything actually. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.
