    Hotel staff asked, "If we needed help with luggage?" This was an excellent point as helped my colleague, who would have otherwise struggled with luggage to 4th Floor.Appreciated!

    Lift out of order-pitied people on higher floors to us! Due to hot weather, very hot in the Room at night - no air conditioning.

    Great location and excellent value for money. Facilities were fine and clean.

    TV had a very poor reception resulting in terrible picture. Reception area is small making checking in and out tiresome when waiting in line. Would benefit from an express check out service.

    Peeling wallpaper, loose electric wires in cupboards, noisy, hot, guests treated with suspicion - requiring pre-payment for breakfast via a voucher obtained from reception but no knowledge of this until ariving for breakfast.

    Always stay at this hotel. Convenient centre of town. A full enjoyable breakfast, comfortable bed and staff always helpful and polite.

    first room had hairs on the sheet on the bed, someone had already slept in it, the second room was adequate, breakfast was the poopest i have had in a hotel cold and tasteless

    room very close to train station, was very clean & in order, no noise while sleeping, tidy bathroom, good value for money

    heater was kept switched on long- better to check when customers check in & then regulate heaters. it should save a lot of energy

    The booking process via yourselves was hassle free and when i rang up, the staff were freindly

    On the other hand the staff at Brittania were unfreindly, lacked enthusiasm and generally could not be bothered. An alarm went off in my room on the 0only day i got a lie in and the reception could not provide an explanantion. The TV kept turning itself off. There was a constant tannoy going off outside the room. The room was tiny with no desk space so i has my laptop perched on my knee. Uncomfortable.

    the food was good for breakfast and their staff were good. In general all the staff were doing their best with poor leaders ie not seen or did nothing.Colse to shops,great for the wifes

    The bathroom etc in the rooms need some real TLC. The room was too small for the size of the bed. The room was not very clean I had to clean the wardrobe before putting my clothes in it. The TV system is in need of serious attention like replacing the system we all complained. The lift would not stop on our floor 5 we had to walk down to floor four to get the lift.

    Convenient location - very close to the station. Staff always friendly and helpful

    HAirdryer missing from room - though one was promptly provided after I asked in the morning. I was disappointed to find myself in a smoking room without being warned. I forgot to ask for a non-smoking room, but it would have been nice to be warned and offered a chance to change. If I'd been staying more than one night I would have asked to move.

    FOR FIRST TIME EVER I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH CARDS FOR OPENING DOORS.

    NEEDED TO CHECK IN ONLINE WITH BMIBABY,FOR RETURN HOMEBUT A NUMBER OF RECEPTION STAFF TOLD ME IT COULD BE DONE AS HEAD OFFICE HAD BLOCKED SITE.THIS MAYBE TRUE BUT IN THIS MODERN TIMES SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE. ALSO IT MAYBE AN UNWILLINGNESS ON PART OF STAFF TO BE HELPFUL.PLEASE CHECK WITH HOTEL TO GET THEIR VIEW AND YOU MIGHT E MAIL ME WITH YOUR COMMENTS.EVENTUALLY I HAD TO GO TO A NEARBY HOTEL OF SAME GRADE TO CHECK IN WITH AIRLINE.THANK YOU

    We found the hotel to be quiet and warm,the staff helpful, and ready to help with any enquiry, the easr of ability to access local shops, transport, etc was a deciding factor in selecting the Britannia.

    The difficulty of making contact with hotel to alter booking----unable to get email, and phone was never answered.Lack of hooks in bathroom on which to hang things.Food selection was not very interesting .

    We paid £43 for a twin room for 1 night. Very good value at that price. Rooms were clean and tea/coffee provided.

    No bad points.

    It was city centre

    no tv reception, the bathroom was dirty, the double bed was two singles at differing hieghts with a sheet that was smaller than the makeshift bed, no ceiling light so it was really dark even with all the lights on, the kettle although half full took about 10 minutes to work.
