    "This hotel is in an excellent location, minutes walk from Oxford Street & Oxford Circus Station. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a lovely room and was cleaned before out second night staying. The full english breakfast is not included in the cost of the room and is expensive at £19.95 each. Overall this was a great hotal and would definitely recommend it." (97234209)

    Location was fantastic. Ideal for west end, oxford street, soho, covent garden.

    All communal areas are very dated. Air con is noisy in room. Hotel is expensive for what it is.

    The hotel was clean and the room was a de luxe and was a good size - bed very comfortable.

    The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice with the continental breakfast and the portion of the full english was generous and tasty.

    My only slight complaint would be the bathroom. For the size of the room we had it was a bit small and it wasn't that it wasn't clean but you could tell that it had seen better days.

    Quiet, comfortable, small, relaxed and reasonably friendly hotel. Nice lounge area - free coffee and water to residents a nice touch. A little oasis in a good area.

    Not easy to find if driving, single room a bit small. No evening restaurant but plenty in the area.

    It was very central to oxford street and the west end

    I had to phone reception for a hair dryer every time I dried my hair as the dryer in the bathroom (which needed updating) did not work. Breakfast overpriced so we went to local coffee shop.

    "General Appearance is good with the air of trying to be a bit upmarket. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants/cafe's around both in the immediate vacinity and in Oxford Street and its sub streets. Room was clean and everything was ready for us.     "The Rathbone is a hotel I will certainly return to. It is 5 minutes walk from Oxford St, which is ideal for anybody visiting central London, but is tucked away in a quiet street flanked by mysterious little alleyways. The ambience was surprisingly warm and friendly for a London hotel, with a pleasant buzz from the many guests who were sitting in the public areas. Very highly recommended." (99047128)

    My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and attractively furnished. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Bath towels the size of a small African nation were a joy. I did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on food.

    My only minor quibble were the ancient bath and shower fittings, which worked perfectly well but seemed somewhat shabby in an otherwise attractive room and bathroom. Breakfast at

    "We would stay at this hotel again.It was clean and comfortable.It was also situated in a central position near to places of interest.There was a tube station within 150 yds and the area contained many nice eating places.My wife and I felt safe at night walking in this area and enjoyed our stay.We would take advantage of special price offers out of season if they were available so that we could spend more time in London.We flew in to London City Airport and found it easy and cheap (" (3304699180)

    The rooms were clean ,nice appearance and large enough with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.The staff were very helpfull and polite.

    It was very hot when we arrived and the bed was covered with a duvet. The following day we asked for a sheet only and this was provided immediately. I would suggest a sheet be placed in the top of the wardrobe in case the bedding needed changing in hot weather.

    Very clean, and surprisingly spacious. Didn't spend much time in our room, but unlike previous hotels we have stayed in, we could have spent time relaxing in the room. Excellent location for the West End, while still being far enough away not to be adversely affected by too much noise.

    Little noise from outside........early morning rubbish collections. Have to accept that as part of a very central City break.

    Although quite small - we thought the staff were particularly attentive although not intrusive. The room was immaculate with good attention to detail. We would definitely stay there again.

    Lack of leasure facilities - although obviously couldnt be helped. Ditto lack of restaurant altho breakfast is served. Service and style made up for it tho.
