    "Very pleasant, other than no hot water in showers" (108346370)

    Room good, staff good attitude. Close to family. Parking good. Prompt action on cold room complaint. Easy to find.

    Room cold, radiator not working. Corrected the next day after staff were informed. Water in bath & shower lukewarm, no improvement after staff informed It would seem the water heating system is inadequate.

    Room clean Very low room rate

    Room cold - heating wasn't working Lift doors tried to shut before you could get in Food absolutely atrocious. Covers left off vegetables so they were cold, food looked unappetising under the carvery heat lamps with sauces 'skinned' over. Items running low not topped up. Desert choice cake, cake or cake. The 'mushy' peas had a very strange taste.

    "Generally a very good hotel to stay at dispite the shabby outside appearence, the staff are excellent, polite and friendly, i can definately recommend the food here as well, the chefs are excellent. the rooms are clean and tidy, the towels and bedding are changed regularly. hot water for a bath and shower are not hot at certain times of the day, and could do with more tea etc in the room, Overall though a very pleasant stay here, i have stayed in far worse hotels at this price, some entertainment is provided at night and food is always available but particularly the bar menu is limited although the food is of a high standard, will definately stay here again."     Very clean and tidy, easy check in/out, decent food in the bar and restaurant, excellent value for money. pleasant staff

    outside of hotel looks untidy, windows could do with cleaning outside as could the frames inside. Hot water for bath and shower not hot at certain times of the day, not allowed to take your own food into room. Not enough tea coffee and milk provided in room.

    "I did not have breakfast so i could not comment on that. Overall i enjoyed my stay. After travelling it was a welcome rest! I was pleasantly surprised when i entered the room, it felt so homely! Thankyou." (108740160)

    Reception Staff were welcoming and talkative. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfy. Bathroom was very clean and the shower worked a treat.

    The tv did not work very well 1-5 buttons did not bring up the normal 1-5 channels. The remote to the tv did not work very well. I did not see any instructions to turn the heating up. I had to work that out myself. The windows badly need a clean from the outside.

    "Although not 'pretty' and close to main road, the interior of the hotel is not reflected by the exterior. This hotel was excellent value for money and the food was also very good. " (108628716)

    Very good value for money with easy access to NEC.

    Hotel doesn't look too 'pretty' from the outside! Very close to main 'A' road

    cheap

    smelly & smokey. rooms were unclean & the room my colleague was booked into had dirty towels & dirty (used) crockery. Lack of people on reception meant queues. I wont be staying there again !

    very good value for money when booked online. very polite and helpful duty manager ( i think , with a plaster on his arm! ) on Friday evening thank you

    not bad but a bit confusing! the room door lock information was not explained as well as it could be. we took a while to figure out that you had to push the middle of the knob in to turn it before you could lock the door.

    staff where very helpful and polite and clean and tidy.

    my room for the first night smelt very musty and your staff moved me the very next morning. My personal opinion of the hotel is its very dated and tired looking.

    room was clean and tidy

    There was no hot water in the room, had cold shower on arrival and in the morning of departure. When i informed the man at the reception desk that i had no hot water, he showed no concern whatsoever but merely said he would ask someone to get it checked, he did not feel the need to apologise, i thought this was appalling customer service, very bad attitude.

    There were none!

    There was no hot water in my shower and this was only at 6 in the evening! I ordered breakfast and it didn't turn up!!! I had to go to work starving!!!

    My room had no heating. I complained 3 times but it was not put right. Luckily due to weather it got warmer on day 3.

    "Typical 60's/70's tower block hotel but adequate as an overnight stop & excellent value." (107516562)

    Room was clean & warm with adequate supplies of toiletries & the hot-drinks tray was well stocked

    I had great difficulty getting hot water in the wash-basin (used kettle eventually) & shower was equally slow to get hot. They paid for a lot of metered water when an efficient shower would have saved a lot of costs.

    Convenient for NEC. Room spacious and clean.

    Not a very good experience in dining room one of the evenings. No staff around and food disappointing on one of the nights, perhaps not enough guests in was the reason!

    Friendly staff

    Shabby, tired, scruffy hotel - inside and out. I nearly didn't stay! The whole place needs a complete make-over. I would not book there again.

    it is a very convenient hotel for us because we have family in the village and they do not have room to accommodate us, so this is a perfect choice for us
