    I thought the Receptionist very good, my room was really great. The Social/ Lounge area seemed huge and welcoming

    None except for a small point. Booking form said breakfast £6; this was incorrect although mine only cost £6.95

    A room for all four of us to stay in

    Only one plug socket in the room and that was shared between the TV and the kettle.On line booking stated that I could receive breakfast at a discount price if I showed the confirmation and mentioned it at check-in, only to find that we could not have it even when showing it printed in black and white.

    "Iwas glad to have been visiting family,because anytime we frequented the bar it was closed,no entertainment and nothing for children.We tried to purchase things on the list in the room but there was nothing availible,it was very poor standard for a hotel." (108354204)

    The staff were very helpful and friendly

    The room 215 was very poor there were huge spiders on the ceiling,only one plug socket in a family room for kettle,hairdryer,t.v,phonechargeretc..The shower needs attention,i think the hotel needs a huge makeover

    staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good. Excellent choices

    Some wear and tear showing on furniture. Bed too soft and pillows poor but that is only bad points!

    Staff was friendly and helpful

    Bedromm carpet was stained and dirty, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned from the last person that stayed. there was hair in the plughole of the bath and hair all over the bath and just generally dirty.

    The staff were pleasant and helpful, it was clean and when we had problems they were dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

    We booked a family room, but on arrival we were only given a double. I asked for an extra bed to be put in, but we were moved straight away into a family room. We were not informed that to receive the breakfast rate advertised on the internet we had to pre-book breakfast, however, when I queried the charge this was rectified.

    "Friendly, welcoming staff and a comfortable hotel - signage from the main road out of Coventry could have been better as it wasn't clear where we were headed and it took a while to find. Once there, no complaints though. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family." (107720327)

    The staff were really helpful - to the point that the receptionist checking us in moved my grandparents to a room closer to the lift when he saw my grandfather was using crutches - nice touch that was much appreciated.

    I felt that the breakfast on offer was expensive for what was there so our booking was room only.

    Holes in ceiling of bedroom and carpet layed over existing carpet was not only unhygienic but also a safety hazard. Remote controller for television did not work

    "We had stayed at this hotel annually some 10 to 15 years ago, it was then of a very high standard. The present staff morale and attitude was great but i'm sure they must take some flack over the over-all condition of the hotel...a great disappointment that wants sorting out!!!!" (107469246)

    Staff attitude good, food good.

    Three of us stayed in differant rooms, carpets stained, I had no heating in my room...there were no controls on the radiators, a colleages shower drain was blocked, no hot water for shower in the morning, another colleague was offered an attic room to stay, this had only one curtain, filthy carpet, almost Dickensian.

    Clean and comfortable hotel with very obliquing staff

    Not the easiest hotel to find amore prominent sign required. Breakfast was chaotic on the Sunday due to a bus load of people and insufficent staff, Monday was much better. Shaving points did not work in the two bedrooms tried

    Food good and bed was comfortable

    Obviously our room had been a smoking room. Smell of smoke in room and corridor. Carpets stained and not vacuumed. Ceiling tiles had stains in them and bathroom wall tiles grouting needed scubbing. Whole hotel needed some money spending on it to brighten it up

    Easy check in, very large bedroom and bathroom in a quiet location. Good value for money.

    "I booked on line and was charged considerably more than my sister who stayed an extra night and booked direct. I queried this with the hotel and was informed that it was cheaper to book direct than online...it should be the other way around!" (97441286)

    Good breakfast.

    A very 'dated' hotel with poorly equipped rooms, insufficient toweling, empty soap over bath & washbasin, damp stains on the ceiling etc etc

    Friendly staff service

    Bedsheets not changed in over 3 nights i stayed, i phone reception on the 1st night to be advised these were changed every other day. The bathroom was also in a used condition on arrival.

    good enogh for what we required reception staff were helpful

    breakfast set-up not great only one guy working and trying his best but while more staff were available they did hardly anything,so lots of dirty pots left around and not taken away to clear tables for us and many other guests,good job they didn't have a rush on i say, generally breakfast no-way value for money very dissapionting.

    "We stayed at the hotel in order to visit my father in a nearby hospital. We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the room although the main areas of the hotel could do with updating. We paid £57.00 for 3 adults sharing a room with full English breakfast which provided excellent value for money and I would stay again and recommend it to others.     Excellent value for money. Room was better than expected with comfortable beds and crisp/clean bedding.

    the shower was impressive, the hotel was quiet, but not lacking atmosphere in the bar. the staff were friendly and helpful.

    arguably the building is outdated and worn in places, but never the less for the cost it was ok.

    Reasonably priced and clean.

    The condition of the hotel could have been better and a few facilities were lacking, such as Internet access.
