    Very Tidy Hotel, Good Quality Shower, Bed etc.

    Breakfast was rubbish, quantity very poor

    Room was adequate. Staff were polite and friendly. Hot water - plenty.

    The room was extremely old fashioned - the decor was like something from the 80's. There was no electric shower - a hose connected to the bath was the shower. Was very disappointed with the breakfast - did not taste good at all. Only given one sausage, one rasher, one egg, one hash brown and a teaspoon of beans - Wouldn't have minded the amounts except that it was not enjoyable. Coffee was horrific. Heating was not on - not enough bedding - was cold during the night. Didn't sleep well.

    We was held up on the motorway with roadworks etc, rang the hotel to explain that we were on our way. We did not get to the hotel until late. The proprietor requested that we rang him when we got closer to the hotel. Which we did and he was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us the keys to the hotel so there were no restriction as to what time we had to be back at night. We were able to take our very well behaved border collie dog who slept in our room which was very important to us.

    Large, clean & comfortable room and en-suite bathroom. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. Close to local amenities.

    Shower temperature was a bit hit and miss.

    "We were comfortable and well catered for and the manager was helpful in directing us to the other facilities of Sutton. Breakfast was well cooked and well presented in a beautiful new extension to the main building, showing their intention to improve the situation generally." (108026066)

    The hotel was clean, tidy, and quiet, although we did not think there were many other guests whilst we were there. There was a car park, which was a serious defficiency in one other hotel we stayed at over the last week.

    There did not appear to be any staff permanently on site and the manager arrived at the same time as ourselves. He said he did not know what time we were to arrive, but we had not been asked to supply this information and would have found it difficult in view of the fact that we did not have a clear idea ourselves of exactly what time we would arrive.

    Dining room was pleasent.

    PAT Testing of the portable appliances in the room were not up to date, last tested in 2004. The light fitting on the wall was broken, and had been taped up with insulation tape. Unable to pay for the rooms with credit card, due to faulty card machine. As a result we had to find a cash machine.

    Quiet, clean. Good breakfast

    No-one there when I arrived - had to make a phone call and wait for someone to come. Not able to take the Credit Card on check out which necessitated my driving off to find an ATM. Think it is slightly over-priced for a hotel with few facilities.

    The bed was comfortable. The facilities were fair.

    Shower room not very clean. Bedside Lamp tied up with tape and not working. General maintenance of the rooms needed Decor poor.

    "The hotel is quite basic, while well maintained and clean. It is more than adequate and value for money for a short stay although wouldn't have been pleasant for more than 1/2 nights. If you like a hearty English breakfast this is not the place for you although you can fill up on cereals and toast. Not very close to amenities so be prepared for a 25min walk uphill to town centre or else a short bus ride. No restaurants/bars very close to the premises so again be prepared to travel. Staff bit odd but a good source of amusement if you keep your room locked!" (3305090139)

    The room was extremely spacious and well maintained. Parking was available. Secure with locked outer doors and room doors. Nice ensuite.

    Seemed further from the town than quoted so buses were necessary. Staff bit odd. Breakfast very basic but adequate. Quite noisy-thin walls so could hear other guests moving about the place and the main road at the front. TV not tuned in and remote control didn't work. No staff there to greet us and had to call the owner on a mobile number to gain entry. Beds were on rollers and moved when you moved.

    quiet and peacefull

    hot water should be available all day!!!!!! Lights should be checked by staff before visitors arrive!!!
