    "Overall, a pleasant place to stay although door hooks would be helpful in bedrooms and bathrooms. Also, a printed or typed breakfast menu showing choices would be of benefit. Information downloaded from the net indicated that we could not gain access until 1800 hours. We complied with this and, when mentioning it on arrival, were told that it would be altered."     Clean and pleasant bedrooms and bathrooms - we decided to stay for a second night so had to move to Room 2. We received helpful offers of assistance from a member of staff to assist with the changeover. Good dinner menu.

    Water did not drain away during showering in twin-bedded room(2). TV reception in double-bedded room(3)was very poor but good in Room 2. Full Breakfast was well-cooked and presented, but scrambled egg on 2nd day was overcooked and rubbery.

    Good access to Mid/North Wales, cheap budget comfortable stopover. Food excellent value for money, warm comfortable bed. Was prepared to make a sandwich tea when not on the menu

    Limited channels and quality of pic on tv not so good.

    This was a lovely location and friendliness of staff was excellent, sorting out a minor issue when we arrived. Breakfast was just right. Will stay again.

    Room wasn't ready when we arrived but quickly sorted while we had complimentary drives.

    "we had a lovely weekend the accomodation was excellent and the staff so friendly. A nice surprise that a table had been reserved for us in the resturant just in case we wanted to dine there. we did this every night of our stay as the meals were excellent. Would have no hesitation to reccomend this hotel to our friends." (97235443)

    Very Clean and spacious. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.

    Nothing really to dislike, only it would have been nice to have had two chairs to relax, in the room.

    "I chose the Alleppo because 1. It had wi-fi, 2 it had a restaurant, 3 proximity to Newtown. It would have been good to have known before booking just how good the rooms were - it would have definitely have sold the hotel to me. These people are just too modest." (97724860)

    Stunning rooms - very spacious and well appointed with great attention to detail. Everything was of an exceptionally high quality for the price-range. The hotel staff were very friendly.

    "I travel a fair bit in the UK and would normally stay at well known hotel chains but they are not present in this part of Wales. I was therefore surprised and extremely please that this accomondation compared favourably to the larger hotel networks." (97986272)

    "Overall the hotel was friendly, clean and good value for money. We ate at the hotel that evening and the dinner was perfectly acceptable for a pub of that type - the steak in particular was lovely. Not haute cuisine but perfectly acceptable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was a good size but the towels were old and tired and not large enough. Also, there could have been some shelving in the bathroom on which to place toiletries. Good planning in the room for mirror and hairdryer, which is a fault with many hotels we have stayed in where I have found myself sitting on the floor with a mirror as there is no socket near the dressing table. Overall a good experience which would have been made much better by some very small adjustments." (99568658)

    The staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable. Unusually, the dressing table and mirror were in a sensible place with immediate access to a power point for a hairdryer - unlike many other hotels.

    The towels were a bit old and not big enough and there were no shelves in the bathroom to put any belongings. The breakfast was a mixed bag - everything was absolutely fine except the sausages, which were plastic - unlike the bacon which was lovely. A good breakfast spoiled by the quality of the sausages.

    "Excellent service and very clean throughout. Never stayed for Dinner at the hotel although the reviews from work colleagues were highly received (but I can say that the breakfasts were lovely!)
