    Room was hot, sockets hanging off wall, no cot as requested, when cot was given no bedding, tiles around bath were broken, hole in bathroom door, no light and was told maintenance werent on site, eventualy we were moved to another room

    There were obvious signs of refurbishment and modernisation of the hotel and its new face make it a good value short stay hotel

    the staff were exceptionally friendly and the food was basic but good. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. As a lone female I felt very very comfortable here.

    I think some areas were not cleaned well and the TV reception was awful, in so much that I could get very few channels.

    Vast hotel with character rooms in easy distance to central London. The view from the top floor dining lounge is spectacular. All those sights waiting to be explored - for business or leisure. All in all this is a very comfortable, welcoming place and importantly, excellent value.

    Check-in from 2pm but there can be a little queueing involved just prior to that time with guests waiting but perhaps the check-in clerk needed some back up. Despite the pressure he remained cool and welcoming.

    Room was very poor, TV only had 4 channels and was situated in a place that was not viewable in bed. Bathroom and walls had Mildew, and bathroom had bath with Shower head not shower.

    "poor customer relations ,,, as mentioned before ,,far too many guys in suits doing nothing and not knowing role (if any) ,,,and not enough staff doing the usual hands on jobs ,,ie food /bar (although only bar tender we encounterted was very personable and efficent)the staff had to cope with a lot of various nationalities and obviously languages ,,,but being in london i thought at least 1 person would be employed as having english as his/her 1st language ,,????very frustrating at times to put over my point to various people at one time again and again ,,,,having to explain from one to another ,,etc etc etc ,,,," (108454013)

    Room very basic but adequate

    Room was very noisy as there was a wedding next door to my room and it went on till the early hours of the morning. Also the door to the corridoor next to my kept banging when people went through it, may i surgest that you put a more slow close door mechcanisim on it. The staff were quite unhelpful regarding these points, may i also surgest that you send your staff on a customer relations course as most of them that i met did not have any people skills at all.

    upon checking in, we were given a 'double room' which had an unmade bunk bed in it. We asked for a room change , which we were given, however the room was smaller and cold. We asked 3 times for the heating to be fixed which was not done. In the end we asked to be moved if there was a room available, we were treated as if we were a nuisance, the staff member then accused us of asking too much and basically told us there was nothing they could do.

    Checking in was efficent

    All but one of the lightbulbs in the bedroom had been REMOVED. When we informed reception the following day we were asked whether we notified maintenance. We did not notice the bulbs were missing until after midnight when we returned to our room. SURELY HOUSEKEEPING SHOULD CHECK THIS? In the hotel there was a snack/bar menu claiming 24-hour room service. When we tried to place an order for sandwiches around midnight I was informed that the kitchen was closed and that 24-hour room service only applied to drinks from the bar. THIS I WILL BE REPORTING TO TRADING STANDARDS AS FALSE ADVERTISING

    Very inexpensive.

    Low cost does not excuse filth, or the bad state of repair. Continental breakfast is not Mother's Pride bread for toasting, tinned fruit cocktail and coffee.

    Fire alarm went off three times in the night, one of the times, they couldn't turn it off. Staff did not care at all about this. All guests were very unhappy. Building in a poor state of repair, furniture in rooms was poor, mouldy walls. Had a bad night. Couldn't wait to leave.

    Good price, convenient location

    Undergoing refurbishment. In room, no bedside light; bath tap block loose; electric socket by bed not working, newly done decoration generally good but patches of poor workmanship. Three fire alarms in the course of one night, with no apparent serious response by staff either to guide residents or to deal with other residents smoking in rooms.

    I booked the room 5 days in advance but when we went in the room, it was a double bedroom plus bunk beds as well, I was well annoyed because we didnt want that sort of congested room and when I went back to the reception they said that they might not have anything available because there was a wedding party going on and maybe they are all booked. I got angry and then they said that there is one room available and thanks goodness it was better without bunk beds!!! Now, please tell me why will I book that room in advance if I needed that sort of bedroom. I was well cheesed off!!

    I left my digital camera at the lobby, I phoned the staff to check if it is still there, they found it on the chair where I sat, they kept it at the office till my husband came back to collect it. All the staff are so courteaus & conscientious!

    "Had to wait 22 minutes for bar servie and another 30 minutes for meal to be delivered. Meal served wasgrossly inadequate. Salad was not fresh, cooked meal was not to normal hotels standards and was not the only customer to find this out. Dity table clothes.     Nice entrance to reception.

    Advised of incorrect directions to room. No basin plug. Poor TV reception.Carpet had not bben vacumed. How can you order room service when there is no phone in room, windows in despite needd of a clean. Advised of the incorrect time for breakfast.

    Finding a hotel through your search facility very easy.

    The hotel was a disgrace, a double deluxe room on the ground floor straight beside the bar and some very smelley toilets an absolute stomach turner. The windows were rotten wood. As for the continental breakfast it was a farce with very small amounts of choice avialable and having to que for 20 minutes to make some toast made me opt not to try and have any cerials, organisation and no where near enough seating.

    There weren't any

    We were going to a wedding at 2pm. Was told it was too early to check in but when informed them we would be late back were told they would not hold room. £1.50 for a cup of instant powdered coffee on arrival. Had to explain to barman how to make whitewine spritzer the most basic of drinks. Breakfast table had four previous sittings of dishes still on and people after us had to make do with 5 sittings. Trying to get a cup for coffee at breakfast was impossible they were bringing them out of kitchen in ones.

    The first time i booked in,the hotel were very clean and the overall experience excellent.

    My second visit was really dissappointing. The room, toilet and sheets and curtains were dirty. The windows were broken and there were mould on the wall. There were also cigarettes on the ground, outside.

    The manager was very understanding and quick to respond to my predicament

    Initially I booked a triple room and it was woefully inadequate; the room was much too small for that purpose as the beds took up the majority of the space with very little room left to move around. The door handle to the bathroom was broken and I requested it to be fixed and it wasn't. The continental breakfast was bland and inadequate. I had to continually have my room key recharged which was annoying (presumably this was for security reasons but this was not explained) I checked in a Sunday and by the Tuesday I had decided to check out and go elsewhere when somehow they found me a much better room and I stayed only because that was the less disruptive option Overall the hotel is in need of a makeover.

    Low cost and reasonably decent accommodation with parking.

    Poorly fitted TV with poor reception. No ironing facility.So so breakfast.
