    "The attention to detail is impressive, nothing I asked for was too much trouble. The room I was given looked out on to fields and was very comfortable from the double bed to the jacuzzi bath!" (108696812)

    Lovely quiet location, the owners could not be more helpful. Beautiful room.

    Great room - at excellent rate when booked online. Great view from room onto small garden and fields. Could sit outside in private garden Booked room only as we wanted a lie in - good to have this option in such a nice hotel

    Food expensive - so ate out. Not really looking to pay food at that price when booking a discount break! Not happy that personal details were on show in the guest register. Did try and avoid giving address as this would have been on show - I could read other people's addresses, but receptionist asked again.

    The Large comfortable bed made the stay very enjoyable. We rang the hotel beforehand to let them know that we were checking in late and they ensured that everyhting was at reception ready for us when we did arrive. Hotel is in beautiful surroundings and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend it to everyone wishing to visit Shropshire/South Staffordshire. Thanks.

    Only points to note were that the hairdryer had past its date and the TV equipment was slightly old (poor reception on freeview channels) but wasn't there to watch TV so not really bothered!

    a very pleasent and welcoming hotel with great grounds to sit in.

    we found that althought the food was great it was a little on the steep side along with the drinks.

    The hotel rate was excellent and the premises clean, tidy and very nicely furnished. The gardens were beautifully kept and the patio area well positioned. Staff were both friendly and polite.

    We didn't think the rate for dinner was the best value and we waited a while to be served, had we been going anywhere afterwards we would have had to cancel it.

    The rooms are very quirky and personalised. If you like a quaint country retreat with some character then this is definately the place to go. I will be going back to stay again.

    There were none. The service at the front desk could have been quicker, especially in the morning when you have somewhere else to be.

    The Hotel is a great example of it's type, (country Hotel) housed in a lovely building with lots of character and period features. Superbly located in a tranquil setting with well kept gardens and good car parking.

    A very minor point really, our bedroom would have benefited from a little updating.

    The general appearance of the hotel is stunning, lovely peaceful setting. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, luxurious, gorgeous antique furniture and lovely views over the garden and conservatory at the back. We would definitely stay here again. We didn't eat breakfast as we had to be away early and meet friends for breakfast in Shrewsbury. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient, as was checkout.

    None, the only criticism was that the previous guest's used teacups were still in the sink!

    reception on arrival and speed in which he sorted out the problem with initially very satisfactory solution

    first room - no hot water in shower 2nd room ( top grade) - no heat from radiators in morning. Restaurant food was not a very high standard at all. Reception on check out did not even ask whether our stay was satisfactory - just pay the bill.

    Very pleasant room. Lovely settings in the reception/ waiting area. The Old Vicarage hotel website doesn't reflect its best to their potential customers. I was very surprised it was a lot nicer than I thought (after checking it out on their own website).

    The quality of the presentation of the room was very good. It felt inviting and friendly.

    The bathroom could be improved, particularly the shower, it is rather tired, but works perfectly well.

    "Accommodation in the Coach House is a very short walk from the main building but the walk can be wet. It was good to find that even in this small detail the hotel had considered the guests' comfort and provided an umbrella in the room. It was the detail in the attention to the guests comfort that made it such a pleasent stay and one which I hope to repeat. The Orangery Restaurant I found most enjoyable and, in my opinion, of a very high standard with an excellent menu and wine list." (97678703)

    A comfortable and spacious room with all the extras that have become synonymous with modern hotels. The room had two windows with uninterrupted views over wonderful Shropshire countryside.

    My room, Davenport was dated and cramped with too much ocasional furniture that is very unlikely to get used. The bathroom is tired and badly arranged always having to step over the toilet to move anywhere. Food is overpriced with nouvelle cuisine portions
