    "A good working hotel, clearly popular with working folk during the week and tourists at the weekend. The rooms in the rear annex are good but take care as some rooms have a window that faces a factory wall. We moved to make sure we had a view of the garden. The breakfast could be better, a buffet with added English style bacon eggs and beans. We skipped it after one day but then that is our taste." (108703068)

    Very clean warm and spacious, accommodating staff quickly fixed the broken shower. Décor a bit naff but OK. Very quiet and safe with good sound proofing and security. Ground floor annex had easy access. Streatham Hill has very quick and easy access to Central London on the train.

    Poor quality sausages. Christmas fairy lights that played a tune all night. (Thankfully stopped!) A broken shower but that was quickly fixed. A sheet and counterpane arrangement that was what I was used to for sleeping. A flat screen TV with only 4 fuzzy channels working, (I guess this will soon be resolved).

    Convenience of Location, Car Parking, Easy to Book online, Rooms are good size, very well furnished and clean. Shower facilities are excellent with instant hot water. Breakfast meal & service very good and staff are friendly

    Smell of smoking when entering room - presumably previous occupant smoked in it? - need for no smoking signs? No coffee and only one teabag provided in room.

    I had initially had a bad experience in a nearby hotel so i was a bit pessimistic but it all changed especially when my early check-in request was granted. I will definitely stay there again in future

    I couldnt get water to buy and I am a breastfeeding mother

    Hotel provided good value for money in all respects apart from the noisy guests. A hotel is booked in order to get a good nights sleep and when that is not possible the other aspects become unimportant

    We were woken at 04:00 and again at 06:00 by guests returning from a night out.

    "The building itself is beautiful and its unfortunate that the owners have not used this as a feature throughout the hotel. Overall the hotel was bland with rude reception staff and dawdy rooms. I do not think that the hotels is value for money considering that you can stay in the Holiday Inn express for £59.00 just a mile or so up the road. My advice would be to use the hotel if nothing else is available." (108105683)

    Breakfast was the best part of the stay.

    Rude reception staff when checking in. Parking was also an issue and we had our car blocked in by a coach until 16.30 on the day we checked out. We booked a double bed and was allocated 2 singles Room was to an OK standard apart from the smell of stale tobacco smoke and damp.

    corridor in annex noisy, floor is tiled and everything echoes especially when late night arrivals booked in. (early hours)

    Overall cleanliness and decor excellent. Staff very helpful. Breakfast adequate but should be extended to 10.00am on Saturdays/Sundays.

    My room (238) was very small with no proper bathroom. Bedside light faulty - had to get maintenance staff to fix it. No TV remote in room - had to go to Reception to obtain one(This should have been offered on arrival). Faulty equipment in rooms should be reported by cleaning staff, not left for guests to report. If I stayed again I would request a double room for single occupancy. Arrival of coach party in very early morning woke me up - they were very noisy.

    Reasonable location as only a 5-10 min walk to the train station. Breakfast was basic but good. Room was pretty quiet and very clean.

    We decided to extend our stay for another 2 nights but had to move rooms into an exactly identical room which we thought was a little uneccesary.

    Room very clean and bed comfortable

    Breakfast ghastly. Youth hostel atmosphere in rest of hotel but we were given a room at back. Signs saying deposit required for key, deposit for a remote control, no guests after ten etc very of putting but we were not asked for a deposit.

    Personale gentile, colazione buona, cambio biancheria bagno regolare, pulizia camera adeguata.

    Mai cambiate le lenzuola durante la settimana. Copriletto sporco al nostro arrivo. Clienti della camera accanto rumorosi e maleducati (facevano chiasso fino alle 3 di notte malgrado i richiami). Le camere erano vicino alla reception: impossibile che non si sentisse il rumore, ma nessuno è intervenuto. Manca un regolamento sul comportamento dei clienti in camera, in particolare durante la notte.

    Rude argumentative reception staff, hairdryer that kept turning off, bathroom door that didn't have a lock or even close properly, tea making facilities for only two people though four adults were staying, having to stand to wait for about 15 minutes before we had our breakfast, because all tables were full.

    Clean and friendly staff. The comforatble lounge was a bonus.

    There were no teabags in my room only coffee. Paying £10 deposit for the tv remote seems a bit strange.

    Room and hotel in general were extremely clean and the room was very comfortable. There was good parking.

    Directions on the website assumed you would be travelling on foot to the hotel. We had great difficulty finding it in a car. Directions need to be more specific.

    I rebooked for another night on the 28\08\09 but the service I received on that day was very disappointing. I booked in at approximately 3:20pm and was very disappointed with the way the staff attended to me on shift that time.

    impressive extension to hotel. Comfortable atmosphere. Tea/coffee facilities good, room serviced well. Breakfast room good, but needs some signs.

    Exterior signage needs cleaning up. One man on Reception pleasant enough, but on phone a lot - other man distant, indifferent. More detail needed on what is available for breakfast, and what is where (which container has tea, coffee, milk ?) Some information on Bus, Train, Tube from there would help.

    Breakfast was a disappointment. All the elements of a full breakfast were there but the quality was not good. In addition, the staff on duty, because of their level of English, were not really able to understand any request, although they attempted to be pleasant.

    "Literally arrived and went straight to bed and was up at 5am the next morning to leave for the London to Brighton Bike Ride. Didn't have Breakfast or see anymore of the hotel, so can't really say. Rooms were hot, even with the windows open and a bit noisy with other guests!" (107856447)

    Helpful when not pre-occupied. Close to our event and reasonably priced

    Got there late and had to wait for the guy in reception to finish his 10 minute telephone call to a Fast Food Restaurant who was querying an order received from the hotel. He could not find our reservation paperwork, so luck that i had ours with me. Apart from that, clean and comfortable. Shame you have to pay a deposit to have a remote control for your tele in your room!
