    Very quaint and traditional - nice feel about the hotel

    No duvets on the beds, still sheets and blankets. Room was too hot.

    "We enjoyed our stay at the Broadway Hotel very much. It is very conveniently located in the village -- as well as convenient to the other towns/villages we were visiting. The staff was excellent and friendly and made us feel welcome, the breakfast was excellent, our room comfortable -- overall, a great experience." (97078545)

    It is a charming hotel with a lot of history - yet up to date amenities.

    Lack of ability to control thermostat -- room was too warm.

    "We were disappointed with the very small amount of vegetables served with an excellently cooked and well presented main course. The menu could be more carefully worded e.g.White chocolate mousse with strawberries. When the dish arrived there was only one strawberry. That should be regarded as a garnish and not included on the menu. On arrival we declined a newspaper, but had to take one back to reception on three days before it was conveyed to the correct source and cancelled. These small inconsistencies didn't spoil an enjoyable stay at an excellent hotel." (99077693)

    The room felt quite basic, it was classed as a first class hotel. It was comfortable, but all rather shabby. The evening meal was the worst meal I have had in years. The starters were bland and unappetising with sauces out of packets. Both main courses were also of a very poor standard. My fish was dry and burnt. We were not charged for this. I did wonder whether they actually had a chef or whether it was all frozen food heated up.

    It was warm and cosy and friendly

    Too many staff socialising in bar together or with friends not sure they were quite so attentive to guests because of this. Rooms looked a little tired attention to deep cleaning obviously not on the schedule for those responsible for rooms.

    Right balance between service and privacy. Good Food. Superb old building. Staff friendly (with the exception of the barman who is, and always will be a miserable sod, albeit an excellent barman).

    The barman is miserable - but its one of the few jobs where you can get away with being a 'character' - including a miserable character.

    "Some indication of how to get into the parking area would have been welcome. It was difficult to see a way into the hotel grounds and it appeared to be blocked by a barrier. Local attractions and information would have been of interest including some history of the hotel itself. The village is delightful and there is a popular outdoor seating area to the front of the hotel to have a drink, something to eat and watch the world go by." (2522477)

    The situation was excellent - right in the centre of the village with all amenities at hand. The room was clean and comfortable and it was a pleasant surprise to be able to get fresh milk for tea made in the room. Bathroom supplies were also generous. Breakfast was good but see comments below on staff demeanor.

    Clearing up the conservatory. It was messy quite a lot of the time. Apart from the check in receptionist, all staff were miserable and terse. The breakfast waitress gave the impression that guests were inferior beings and failed to smile at all.

    "I often stay in Broadway just for one night and the main reason for staying at The Broadway Hotel was the good deal I was able to get on the internet. Would probably not stay there if I had nto pay the normal price. Very good value." (2433419)

    The location of the hotel was ideal and the room quiet and comfortable. It was ideal for my purpose. The staff were friendly and the breakfast very good. It was good to be able to open the windows really wide and the view from the room was over the gardens.

    Delightful staff, beautiful setting with lovely gardens and courtyard.

    We had a disapointment with our meal but think we were just unlucky and it was handled very well.

    Hopefully you will be a bit more inventive when it comes to prepare a meny for dinner as it used to be excellent.
