    The location of the hotel for the early morning trip up Mount Snowdon and access to Snowdonia generally.

    Squeaky floorboards in the bedroom, we were in 320 but otherwise no faults whatsoever.

    Check in was good Central position

    Poor breakfast service - seemed to be a lack of a general command structure. Room reasonable but hot and stuffy and whilst we were told that we had been upgraded to an 'executive room' apart from a large bed (which actually filled the room)it was hard to see what was 'executive' about it. Light over one side of the bed not working.

    Easy to find, superb location, friendly & helpful staff, breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the garden is wonderful and good parking.

    Twin room a bit small, room in need of refurbishment, annex a very long way from reception.

    "Hotel was lovely, location lovely but let down by poor on line booking service and a very long wait at breakfast for ordered toast to appear. I had to track down a second waitress before the toast finally appeared." (108326994)

    Unfortunately when i arrived to check in at the Royal Victoria Hotel they had not received notification of my online booking. As they had a large group attending an R.A.F. reunion plus 2 coach partys staying they had difficulty in allocating me a room.

    Online experience was easy and uncomplicated.

    The Hotel rooms require updating, the breakfast was a calamity from start to finish. One person took the tea and toast order, another person took the breakfast order and they all got delivered by somebody else there was lots of staff in the dining areas but there was definitely no Multi-tasking and on the 2nd day they had run out of beans and wasnt informed until our plates turned up without them.

    Very pleasant stay, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was busy for staff but waiting time was short.

    The decor of the front of the hotel needs attention was a bit off putting at first.

    The staff i found to be very helpful and friendly. Quality of the food i would consider to be excellent and probably better than i might have expected. This hotel is located in a perfect position for exploring the Snowdonia and North West Wales region.

    Not really a bad point considering the age of the hotel but the corridors do look a bit tired..... i.e. the carpets and walls.

    Good location, easy to find, friendly, helpful staff.

    Broken wardrobe door in room, restaurant service a bit chaotic - staff went to get something and didn't return, some tables waited longer than others for coffee. Room was very warm.

    Not able to check in before 2pm even though arrived at 1.45pm! Room was very small although nicely decorated but paid extra for a refurbished executive room.

    Very good value and the resturant food was very good.

    Service could be very slow and there was always something missing from the table like milk or butter ect. When a request was made with staff for the missing item it never arrived!

    "Because of its position and amenities, the hotel has great potential.However the decor is now dated and drab with management to match. The front line staff made every effort to be helpful but are clearly overwhelmed. Overall one of our poorest experiences in recent years and my wife and I were charged £275 for two nights for it!     Excellent position. Pleasant grounds. Good public rooms.

    Wedding and coach parties allowed to dominate public areas. Too few staff to cope and general lack of overall management.Dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday shambolic, at breakfast guests were shown to uncleared tables, crockery was in short supply and buffet was not routinely replenished.Marginally better on Sunday and Monday with food at least adequate, but still seriously understaffed and no-one taking charge.

    Convenient for local attractions and good parking.

    Newspaper ordered not delivered. Breakfast a disaster, no glasses for fruit juice, eggs not cooked, no butter for toast etc etc. Bar staff seem to disappear when trying to get a drink.

    We had a lovely view and the room was clean and spacious.Our dinner was good but not excellent. the waiters and bar staff did their very best.

    the room was not what we asked for. We asked for a twin room and were given a double room. At reception we were asked if we wanted to pay in advance which we did. No one told us that they had not been able to give us a twin room and we found out when we entered the room. Reception were not helpful and consequently we had two very bad nights sleep. The hotel was also so busy with not enough staff to cope and the noise from outside during the night was disturbing. We waited ten minutes to get into the breakfast room and then there were no dishes for cereal and fruit etc. The weekend was total chaos. We would not reccommend this hotel to anyone unless it was not fully booked or there were more staff to cope.

    Staff was friendly at the front desk, room clean and adequate for the price we payed. Quick service at breakfast.

    We and other guests (they were standing next to me and my husband and complained about this as well) were being ignored for 20 Min. at the bar to order food and drink. It seemed that there was not enough staff on for such a big hotel at all. All over looked the hotel a bit dated, but that was acceptabel. Breakfast not so good. One really bad point: We booked the hotel over the internet for 1 night only and for 77,-- pounds. On arrivel the check-in-lady thought we were staying for 2 nights, ok this was no problem, she changed it to 1 night. She suggested we payed with our debit-card because there was an extra charge for the credit card. Nice of her to mention this, so we did pay with our debit card and it worked fine. When I got home a few days later in Germany I found that the money was charged out of my debit account and a l so they carged my credit card with more than 255,-- Pounds. I guess this is was a mistake and it will be corrected, but it has never happend before in any hotel and I had to start sorting this out now with my bank. For this reason I will not book into this hotel again.

    "Not bad, rooms were quiet small and very warm, no air going through but was hottest weekend of the year. After walking up and down Snowdon, the grounds and bar was a very welcome finish to the day. Overall everything was fine, good room rates, good drinks and helpfull staff." (107972986)

    Receptionists and staff were generally very helpful.

    Bathroom toilet wasnt flushed and there was the previous peoples opened shower gell sachet in the shower. Was too tired to comment at time.

    Room was fine, clean, evening meal, once it came(see below)was fine

    Having been up since 3am to drive to Wales and running in rain since 8:50 bit disappointed that not allowed to book in at 1:30pm to shower/change, though rules is rules! One returning to book in about 3pm totally ignored by staff at desk, no friendly “with you in a moment” as they kept disappearing to deal with people sitting elsewhere. Reached the desk and waited, when the next staff free they ignored me and dealt with people just arriving! Waited about 25 minutes to book in. Booked evening meal at 6:30 but when I came down about 6:35 long queue along corridor waiting, doors locked. 6:45 until seated. It then took 2 hours for my meal, sitting there waiting on my own for the majority of this, meal fine when arrived but service unacceptable, ate elsewhere next night. Breakfast day 1, came down for 7:30, long queue along corridor waiting, doors locked again, seated by 7:40. Ate cereal and fruit juice waiting for service, ordered just tea and fetched croissants, which I then ate, no sign of tea, left 8:05 Breakfast day 2, decided to run before breakfast so came in at 9:20. No bowls for cereal with 5 waiting, found staff to produce some. No orange juice, no croissants, just some yoghurt. Took cereal and found that half tables occupied and every single other table covered in left over plates – never saw any cleared whole time I was there. Cleared one myself and found unused spoon on another table for cereal. No service. Went and got yoghurt, ate it. Still no sign of service. Gave up waiting, got my gear from my room, checked out where my comments were largely ignored, the service manager just said sorry about that and served the next person. Drove to café and had first cup of tea of day. In the last year I have stayed in hotels in Iceland, Norway, France, Austria and Switzerland all with excellent service amazed at the dread full service received here. I am a regular visitor to Snowdonia, and now my parents no longer live there as they did for the last 16 years, I will be looking for somewhere to stop on a regular basis and the fact that you sponsor the Snowdon race and are nicely situated would have made me select you as first choice, but not in future.

    A pleasant short stay for what we needed. Staff were very accommodating and nothing too much trouble.

    Was disappointed in the approach to the hotel---Did think we were at the wrong hotel when we drove up--the photo'shown when you book on line is very missleading indeed.Also would book direct with hotel next time rather than an agency,as prices are far cheaper.

    Bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom clean and good shower. Nice and warm (very important as I hate the cold). Breakfast good and bar meals.

    Poor service at breakfast, tables not re set so long wait. Apparent lack of organisation. Ran out of orange juice 2 days. 2 rooms for breakfast but no indication if both available to all guests (as one room 'posher' than the other and better equiped.)

    Found it very difficult to make contact with your hotel re booking,,also I should have been told that building work was in progress,,and the building workers should not be smoking,,finally,,lift facilities very poor,,my wife suffers from bad knee joints,so you will appreciate the difficult stair climb

    "Had an amazing weekend - there was so much to do in that small area. Hotel was comfortable and the staff there where very welcoming. For the small price we got the most amazing breakfast. Deffinately recommended for the adventurous at heart... Not so much for a romantic weekend break ;)." (107818858)

    Friendly, efficiant staff, clean room, very nice and filling breakfast with lots of choice, good location, welcoming of dogs.

    Bed wasnt all that comfortable, and was on castors... which made for a really bumpy weekend, haha. Aside from that, the only other slight annoyance was the sound that the toilet made after it was flushed, and occasionally just randomly on its own.

    Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely location. Very homely for a largish hotel. Lovely food and wine and served with pleasure.

    Our room was a little on the mall side but clean and nicely fitted.
