    Very Friendly staff, Excellent ambience in the bar, Perfect Beer. Top breakfast

    Not really a bad point, just an observation. The toilet was leaking and pooling around the base. However, this did not detract from the overall opinion of the hotel.

    Welcoming Clean and Convenient

    Breakfast (full English)was a little dissappointing though staff were very helpful and pleasant. General impression of dining room was 'a little tired'

    Every member of staff we came into contact with was excellent. The general level of welcome was eceptiomally good. Very good value for money.

    Second chair in room would have been useful. Option of Earl Gray tea would have been welcome.

    Good central location for the whole of Cornwall, convenient just off the A30. Great food and local ales. Friendly staff.

    Surrounding area not suitable for evening walks and car always needed to get anywhere.

    Good and well maintained facilities. Well equipped rooms and toiletries and friendly staff Restaurant/bar have reasonable selection of food and drinks available, well presented.

    Not enough parking spaces Shower water pressure variable (hot one minute then cold or reverse) Breakfast sessions or options not early enough Maybe some options on advanced bookings (cheaper rates)

    Our second visit to this hotel. Staff are all very helpful and friendly. Lovely clean hotel and room. Would definately stay again.

    Unfortunately we went for a meal in the hotel bar and the meal we had was overcooked. Although the landlord was more than apologetic and offered to rectified it.

    Room excellent, coffee etc and shampoo etc always replaced next morning.

    When I used the internet to book the room, for my bgrother and myself, I said I required a twin room and I had difficulty in getting this confirmed.

    Really friendly and welcoming staff in hotel and restaurant. Such a change to have a well equipped room for an overnight stay and at a reasonably affordable price.(unlike travelodge!!!)

    The Hotel was very clean and well equiped. It was well situated for our holiday as we did a lot of sightseeing all around Cornwall.

    No bad points as all 8 travellers felt happy and relaxed with our suroundings.

    We found the hotel clean and comfortable although we did have to point out that the basin was cracked and the flush did not work properly. We trust this is now fixed. The meals we felt were "microwaved" and we do prefer home cooking. Overall our stay was comfortable and would recommend the hotel to others.

    No real "bad points". As mentioned above we had to point out repairs that needed attending to.

    My room would have got a higher rating if it had not been for the traffic noise at night. The checkin/out staff could not hve been more helpful

    There were no real bad points, the food was adequate and call me boring if you like but whether on business or pleasure I believe a proper cornish pastie should be on the menu and that in a ST Austell brewery hotel the Tribute should be hand pulled not come from a bottle

    Excessively noisy bathroom extractor fans, stay on too long and can be heard from adjacent rooms.Loose tile outside window banging continuously, interupted sleep.

    "Excellent - a relaxing break with The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Charlestown all within easy reach of the hotel" (107377466)

    We had a very comfortable stay in accomodation comparable to any 3-4 star hotel anywhere in Europe or the USA. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. Also the food, both breakfast and dinner was really good pub food, with added specials to provide something a little different. The service was excellent.

    The only problem we had was an extractor in the bathroom that did not extract very well.

    Free Wifi in public areas, good sized room. Excellent food in the restaurant.

    Not so easy to find, satnav took me round the B roads but it was interesting!

    "Stayed in the Victoria Inn for one night with my two children as visiting family nearby in St Austell en route back to Exeter Airport. Took two wrong turns trying to find the place as no longer right by the A30 and did not see a sign off the old A30 so drove right on past and had to turn around. Once we got there we found a nice bright spacious reception with friendly staff and ann equally bright spacious room with just enough room and facilities for the three of us.Right down to three little packs of yummy biscuits! There were also spare pillows and blankets on hand which came in handy. Can't be beaten for only £25!" (107363261)
