    "I guess we got what we paid for really considering the hotel was in central London." (108859456)

    comfortable bed, clean room. good location(not lots of stairs to climb) .helpful staff. nice breakfast.

    I asked for a bath in bathroom on booking form but got a shower. no complimentary shower gel in room. no milk in tea tray just whitener powder which tasted disgusting in the tea. not enough pillows on bed. we requested more at reception but one more was all we got and it was wafer thin like the other one.

    Price, location, hot water

    Seemed slightly haphazardly run and some 'refreshing' of our rooms required; one key card failed repeatedly to open the lock. Towel rail permanently on when it was 30+ outside. Just a collection of a sufficient number of minor niggles - milk powder not milk for the room tea for example.

    the family room reservation via internet was changed at the moment of the check in, so we had to stay in separate rooms (dirty and small rooms) for a night and then moved to another hotel.

    The guests living next door were very noisy after midnight but I understand it had nothing to do with the hotel. However, if the walls of the rooms are thicker, probably it would be better.

    "My partner stays in hotels for business and wasn't overly impressed with the facilities on offer. I on the other hand felt it was adequate for what we needed. Shower only dribbled out water so chose not to wash my hair there. :-)" (107960338)

    Good service, quick and easy check in. Breakfast was basic but good. Good location.

    Cleaner came in our room while we were sleeping on the Sunday morning, we weren't checking out until Monday morning. Rather than walk back out, check continued to ask lots of questions which we weren't impressed with as our sleep as been disturbed. There was no do not disturb sign to put on the door and we didn't think to lock it.

    well situated.

    Bathroom was not clean, shower was very poor. Kettle cable was frayed. Ordered a taxi in the evening to take us 3.17 miles, watched the taxi driver pass money to the porter on the desk..then he took us miles and charged us £15, we asked to see the meter....no meter....told us it was a flat rate set by hotel. Asked to see his badge...no badge...therefor if there had been an accident we were uninsured..very dangerous and under hand. Porter at desk said not a single word when we returned and asked for an explanation.

    Reception staff helpful. Room reasonable size.

    Fan in bathroom ran continuously, could not switch off. Hotel in dire need of refurbishment. Breakfast poor standard and staff inefficient. Noisy guests not controlled by night staff, shouting, slamming doors, running in corridors etc.

    "In general we had a fine stay at your hotel. The breakfast staff were all very nice, at the reception desk only the owner was serviceminded. " (107218560)

    We like the breakfast very much that gives us a fine start before heading off. And I like to have the possibility to make a cup of tea or coffee at the room anytime I like.

    The doors to the rooms are slamming and if people standing by the elevator talking (we had the room next to the elevator) it sounds very loud.

    "For what we used the hotel for, I would say that everything was absolutely fine. I would stay here again, it was near to the station, easy to find and we could leave our luggage whilst sightseeing. " (107141142)

    I can give a sufficient vote for the breakfast.

    The courtesy of the people I talked to at the check-in is lacking.The same person was keeping on telling us to use the stairs instead of the elevator(and i don't know why).The elevator was perfectly working,so it seemed to me he just wanted to save power.The room was tiny and dirty.The heater smelt. I asked for some shower bath,and the answer was they don't provide it,and suggested me to go and buy it.They show to be a three star,but are less than a two star hotel.Overall the condition of this hotel can spoil your vacation .I suggest anyone that find no other accomodation available to avoid this hotel anyway.

    "We enjoyed our stay at the Athena very much. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The hotel was clean, hospitable and conveniently located in Westminster. We comprised two sisters in our fifties, one of which is mobility impaired, and her adult autistic son. We stayed in a triple in the rear of the ground floor, which was small but comfortable and quiet. The dining facilities were accessible via an elevator, and the hotel entry had a couple of small steps a few centimeters high which were manageable in a wheelchair with assistance. Other than lumpy pillows and a couple of hours without hot water, were were very satisfied with the facilities, and especially delighted with the staff and service. We would definitely stay there again." (97405026)

    Every single staff member was welcoming, eager to please and efficient. Breakfast was hearty and appetizing, in pleasant surroundings. Accessibility for a mobility impaired guest. Convenience to Paddington station and bus service.

    We ran out of hot water once for a couple of hours in late morning.

    The location of the hotel suited us. The bathroom was clean and newly renewed.

    The room, walls and curtains, was not clean and the curtains need repair. The staff in the diningroom at breakfast needs more training, there we felt as things were unorganised.

    It was set in a lovely part of Westminster

    It was very noisey with the room above making alot of nise on the squeaky floorboards. Also breakfast was served by staff that could speak very little englash and it took over 30 mins to finally get our breaksfast!

    The personnel at the Hotel was very kind and helpful. The room was quiet, no noises in general. The full english breakfast was very good.

    "The hotel is well priced and close to local amenities. There is a pub within 400 yrds open till midnight, and 5 to 6 other pubs within walking distance. Paddington underground station for the bakerloo line is also nearby aswell as a macdonalds and burger king right across from the station. Everything you need is within a few blocks.     Good position nice tree lined street reception staff excellent very helpful

    breakfast staff one one morning very slow. waited 50 mins had to reorder cooked breakfast as forgotten about. Table next to us wasn't cleared for a very elderly lady who waited a long time also dirty dishes were left at her table right through her meal.

    "the hotel was fairly easy to find. we was pleased to find the hotel catered for familys, but the location was actually in a red light area and didnt feel comfortable leaving my car parked outside or venture out after dark. As much as this hotel was cheap for it's location I wouldn't reccomend it." (99706736)

    1 of a handfull of hotels that cater for family's ie 2 adults and 3 children. allowed us to book in early so we could spend the day out.

    the staff could barely speak english, the bedding cover sheets were dirty, shower was mouldy, decor was dated and poorly maintained, the towel rail is so hot it burnt the skin on my wifes back and 1 of the kids hands!
