    Very good and friendly/helpful staff

    Room was adjacent to elevator which kept me awake most of the night. I would have complained at the time if I had stayed for longer than the one night booked.

    centrally located and very polite staff

    bathroom shower leaking and hot water and cold water does not come simultaneously so water not at good temperature for bath. shower curtains needed to keep bathroom floor dry!hair conditioner and body lotion should be provided.

    Large room. Fair value for money.

    Bathroom, whilst large, was drafty. No shower (only the hand-held spray head). Smaill TV with only the 5 terrestrial channels and TV remote didn't work.

    "Arrived at the hotel was offered room of smoking or no smoking i took smoking as my daughter smokes check in took 2 minutes went up to our room clean tidy large great value for money all appliances worked, staff were very helpful, the walk took practically seconds into the shops which was our reason for booking this hotel, checked out but left our bags securely with staff while we finished our shopping excellent!!"     I was able to leave!!!

    The beds are awful, the springs come through the mattress and stick in you back, I complained and they showed me three other rooms and only one bed out of 8 viewed had enough softness around the springs to possibly be able to sleep in, although it was still bad. This hotel shouldn't be able to sell accommodation with the condition that these beds are in, they all need changing, it was pants!

    Car park attendant very helpful and pleasant.

    This was probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I booked a twin room, received a double. Too tired to make a complaint after a long journey and long walk from reception. The bedroom window would not open and the room was hot and stuffy. No view at all out of window just a concrete facade. No bedside table on one side of the bed. Breakfast extremely poor and coffee undrinkable. Reception staff not helpful and blunt. Swimming pool closed Sunday evening!!! Furniture scratched and shoddy.

    The hotel was centrally located and convenient for the Lime Street station. The place has ambiance and character and I liked the bathroom. The room was reasonably large with plenty of storage for my clothes, which was important for me since I stayed a number of days.

    The breakfast was buffet and not very good. I was not particularly impressed, especially given the prices. The hotel seems to cater to bus tours and the dining room seemed was with tourists. My television suffered badly from static and despite complaining about this twice, it never did get fixed. One night, I could hear the snoring from a neighboring room.

    Breakfast.

    On arrival a room was allocated,on arrival at that room it had aready been allocated to another couple. The next room was ok but the bed had been repaired to a fashion and was rather creaky.

    This hotel needs a complete makeover. Everything was slightly dirty, faded and in need of replacement

    crap hotel staff,unfriendly.no real welcome feel to the hotel.more like a cattle market,get as much in as you can and then charge them top dollar for their unique crap experience.rooms where horrible and the bathroom was like a dated bathroom from a hostipal in a world war 1 documentry.

    Fire alarm was set off about 4-5am reception staff told me it was the same drunk people who let it off the night before and there was nothing to worry about. The room had no natural light and the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything that was going on in the hallway. There was obivously a dance/Disco held and music was thumping through until about 4am and vibrations could be felt in our room which was on the 4TH FLOOR.

    An amazing room (wonderful period features), particularly impressed by the size of the bedroom and the bath (& plenty of hot water). The breakfast selection was excellent and the large ballroom is a wonderful place to sit in the evening (also has wi-fi). A centrally located hotel, perfect for visiting Liverpool - will definately

    great location, wonderful breakfast, clean and large rooms, very comfortable

    heaters did not work, shower curtain ended above the bath tub therefore wetting the entire bathroom every time we showered. no fresh air, despite opening inner window, the outer one was wedged shut.

    I liked almost everything about my stay in the Britannia Adelphi hotel -- its grand location, past days flavour, friendly atmosphere etc. I particualry liked a double door in my room that provided an uninterrupted sleep after two days full of new impressions.

    I was watching rain through a window and happened to have noticed that the window glass should be cleaned
