    Good restaurant, service and food

    Nice and comfortable room but too noisy, as this was a transit stay-over, I went into St John and St Elizabeth Hospital at 07h00 on 5th November for a total knee replacement and would have appreciated a good night's sleep. I did ask for a quiet room.

    Good check-in, friendly staff, very good decor in room, large widescreen LCD TV. Great location.

    Aircrew from a well known national airline acting quite poorly in the bar one evening. Won't be flying with them soon!

    Great value for money when I ordered the breakfast online, included in the rate (much cheaper than paying when you are there). Very nice room, large and modern.

    Slightly out of the way of central London, but it was in the area of London where my daughter lives.

    Staff always polite & friendly. Good value for money in London.

    Bathroom VERY small. Anyone larger than a female size 14 doesn't stand a chance of sitting on loo, let alone use the facility! Loo squeezed behind door in little nook. Asked for TV to be looked at as it had disturbance, not done. Stayed for two days, so would have been useful.

    "Excellent value for money in London (for a change!) Staff could not have been more welcoming. Breakfast was hot and there was plenty of it. Would stay there again and recommend to friends. " (107316429)

    Staff cheerful, friendly and attentive. Massive bathroom. Comfy bed. Food fresh,well presented and tasty.

    Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. Any requests respnded to promptly. Good location.

    Hot water tap on basin and loo flush didn't work very well. Hotel was OK but nothing special. However, the mian reason why we have marked overall experience as poor was that we had some very noisy people in the room next door (805) who came back at 4 o'clock in the morning on saturday evening and kept coming in and out, banging the door, smoking in the room. In teh end we gave up and packed our bags and left and came home. They had been noisy earlier at 6 pm but we felt we coudln't really complain at that time of day. Perhaps we should have, or called reception when the disturbance happened in the night, but we weren't sure that the hotel would be able to do anything and were a bit frightened that they might be on drugs or otherwise acting irrationally. We realise this wasn't the hotel's fault but as you can imagine it spoilt our stay there and has sullied our experience of your hotel. We probably would not book again with this hotel because of the memory of this nightmare!

    The staff were helpful attentive and very respectful without being patronising. The welcome I received in the restaurant at breakfast was the best I have received in any of the huge amount of hotels I have stayed in (apart from Hong Kong)

    I had to return 4 times to reception because my key card did not work. The lights in my room came on while I was out and stayed on even without the keycard in the slot.

    room was very very dated and in dire need of refurbishment. Carpet was worn through to the backing in large areas, bed side lights not working, TV and radio channels were basic eg terrestial only unless will to pay extra. Bathroom was tiny door and very cramped. Controlls for the shower were useless either boiling hot or stone cold could not get in between.

    On the next day after check-out,I recognaized to have left my belonging in my room,and I asked reception to investigate it and to inform me by tel or e-mail.But I have not received any informtion yet.

    completly useless at check in couldnt find our reservations and then allocated us 2wrong rooms at 11pm and the toilet chain was near on impossible to work

    "I was put in a non smoking room on the 11th floor, however i could smell smoke in my room, very strongly. I notified reception and I was immediately transferred to floor 5. I was notifeid that the smoking floor was on the 10th floor ie below my original room. I would suggest you put the smokers on the top floor to prevent this sort of thing happening." (97159076)

    "I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions under various owners, Hilton, Ramada etc and although the price per night has steadily increased i have yet to see a marked increase in the facilities/room decor, although i believe some improvements are being made at the moment.     Room very quiet. Quick and functional lifts to all floors. Heating/air conditioning controllable from the room.

    Cracked basin in bathroom (room 434). Hot/cold water controls on bath difficult to turn (danger of scalding).

    Poor service at reception, initially booked into a room on the 4th floor that wasn't accessible! returned to reception, and had great difficultly in explaining why I was there and couldn't physically get to my room due to it being boarded up!
