    not alot

    food in resturant very poor. room was very cold at night. service at respection was poor and slow. perhaps the worst hotel i have stayed in all year.

    "We were disappointed with the general standard of cleanliness in the room and felt that overall Travelodges and Premier Inns have been cleaner." (108285027)

    Manager was prepared to keep coming upstairs and using his card to let us in to our room as there was a problem with key card.

    We found crumbs on the carpet, lots of dust under the bed, very tatty and dirty nets, black damp at the windows and dirty washing left lying overnight in a public right of way.

    NO HAM LEFT FOR BAR SNACKS?. ASKED FOR EXTRA TOWELS IN THE EVENING,DID NOT ARRIVE, CONTACTED RECEPTION SEVERAL TIMES COULD NOT GET THROUGH,WAITED UNTIL NEXT MORNING FOR THEM.NO BACON LEFT FOR BREAKFAST FOOD DRIED UP 9PM AFTER COACH PARTIES LEFT, WED 9TH

    No one on reception when we arrived. Decor in room could do with a lick of paint and net curtains with holes in them.

    "i would not choose to stay at this hotel again and if i had of known that a Premier Travel Inn was actually opposite i would have preferred to have stayed there instead as Premier Inns are far superior to this hotel. i sat myself in the restaurant after waiting but no-one came. i helped myself to the buffet as no-one advised of what the procedure was. at this point a girl asked what my room no was but that was all. I had to ask for a drink when one of the staff came over to take away my plate. the food was not edible infact it was quite disgusting. i did report this to the reception who had a wrd with the restaurant manager and they didnt charge me for the meal but did for the £1.95 cup of tea. i thought this was petty given that i was at this point feeling quite sick from the little food that i ate. overall not a nice experience and one that i shall not repeat."     Girls at reception very efficient and helpful

    Restaurant food not edible. overall presentation of hotel shabby and outdated. reception area has an unpleasant smell. possibly old stale smoke. towels in room not very good or big enough (i am only 8 stone) TV poor reception.

    Friendly staff

    The noise of the exrtractor fans were intrusive in the part of the hotel in which we stayed and made ear plugs a necessity

    Over all ok

    Shower not very good. We had a bar snack and the soup was barely warm when asked to heat it was just warm. Breakfast: all that was advertised in the room brochure was not available and we thought £6 for a couple of slices of toast was excessive. Bar area was very cold

    Ovreall, very good value for money, cheap and cheerful!

    The room was clean in itself, though tired in appearance, a little grubby around the edges, so to speak. The tele controls were not working properly and the smell of tabacco was quite strong.

    very cheap and so facilities and overall experience was what I expected!

    Hotel could not find my booking, even with my confirmation number. Gym closed 1 hour earlier than advertised, evening meal very poor value for money! Breakfast OK. Internet wifi not working!Bedroom and bathroom very dated!

    Location was handy, facilities were okay.

    Rooms could have been cleaner and the beds need to be replaced, old and lumpy. Price for breakfast was expensive and we did not eat there at all after the first day. We also ended up eating across the road for dinner as the food there was very good and priced out much better than the Brittania Hotel.

    "Overall the hotel was satisfactory and suited our needs for attending the Open Golf Championship at Birkdale - close to train station to travel to Southport." (97867607)

    Staff were very helpful and pleasant - Les was particularly helpful - late night barman kept us well all well refreshed after a long day at the golf.

    Bathroom sink needed replaced - looked very worn/cracked. Breakfast - certain food was not available - no eggs on one morning/no water for tea/coffee making facilities

    "When booking which we did some time before our stay you debited the money immediately which is unacceptable. Your staff were as helpful as they could be in the circumstances but the hotel is tired. At breakfast there was no Continental available only English breakfast and the first day breakfast was one weetabix and a cup of tea, not very adequate." (107256113)

    Your hotel was adequate but just.

    When arriving at room the twin room was smaller than the double room. We had booked a twin for my wife and I and a double room for my wifes sister. Wardrobe was a single and room was small. We had to relocate to a double which was not what we wanted

    The food (steak pie, peas and chips) was drier than gandhi's flip flop, left meal and was never asked if everything was ok

    Booking in process. Friendliness of staff. General cleanliness. Plenty of heat, light and hot water. Bed was really comfy. Good facilities on-site

    Room was a little noisy due to interconnecting door between rooms poorly soundproofed. Shower was naff. Sink needs replacing. No wifi in room.

    It was just like many up and down the country

    Pool a little on the small site and in need of modernisation. It was not made clear when booking that breakfast was not included but lady on recepition sorted out a complimentory one for me.She come over as very good at her job.

    "The hotel was conveniently situated just off the M6 motorway. The room was adequate, staff were helpful and friendly. The buffet was good value. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the bathrooom." (97436483)

    The room was quite adequate.

    The toilet seat had to be cleaned before use and when we wanted to use the bath we realised that it was not clean - this was 22h00. I went down to reception to get some bath cleaner and all they could give me was some window cleaner! The receptionist was prepared to move us to another room but at 22h00, after a long day, we did not feel like packing everything up and moving.

    "The public areas (reception, lounge) were cold and draughty. Lounge bar was v. untidy and service was slow despite v. few customers. Room was comfortable but with noisy guests returning to adjacent rooms at 3am so poor nights sleep. Didn't try breakfast - early start and couldn't risk any delays." (97348748)

    Easy access from M6

    Hotel is very warn looking and is in dire need of a face lift the breakfast looked awfull and the food selection was very limited the buffet was missing a lot of items listed and the full english looked as if it had been there for hours.
