    "Overall a pleasant stay, only let down by the breakfast." (108411793)

    Relaxed atmosphere,Good facilities, pleasant staff

    Breakfast in room was very disappointing, we didn't eat it.Poached eggs were raw, sausages were not cooked properly, tomatoes were not plum as stated and also were not cooked and the mushrooms were button and not flat again as stated.

    friendly, helpful staff. Clean, easy to find, good parking.

    allocated a room that I didn't book. Leisure facility times restricted for children which I was not aware of when booking.

    Ideal cenratl location travelling north. Super Spa facilities free for guests. Excellent value for money.

    Room service was quick and good value, room was warm.

    I didn't like the forced hot air heating in the room. Why oh why do hotels charge considerable amounts for breakfast and then get you to make your own toast (while your breakfast gets cold?

    clean, efficient, responsive

    i'm an older gent and there were things that seemed unclear. for example, where to park the car, and how to find/get breakfast. Not a regular hotel user, nor owner of a TV, so it was all a bit of an exploration. and the hotel was in the process of being taken over by Holiday Inns, I think.

    Location was good, Reception staff very welcoming, room modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent.

    Ladies toilets in Reception were out of order (although I found out on the last day that some bedrooms had become alternative toilet facilities. Only one bar and with weddings on all weekend we felt we were imposing on the wedding parties. Sauna was also out of order.

    "I was tired and a warm welcome would have been good. I would stay at this hotel again because the accommodation and the breakfast were good." (107263092)

    Room was nicely furnished and equipped. I did not have dinner but the breakfast was very good.

    Reception staff were very efficient, so the check in and out process is good but the welcome could be improved. WhenI checked out I was not asked if everything had been okay or was I thanked for staying at the hotel - I don't like a lot of fuss but I would like a little bit more interaction, especially when I was the only customer at reception. It felt like being on the checkin conveyor belt, i.e. do you want either early morning call or a newspaper, would you like us to book you a table for dinner, would you like to open a card to that any additional costs can be charged to your room etc. All good questions but have felt far more welcome at other hotels.

    "The first room we were offered was looking into work skips.this was changed.during the week we had to pass work men during bedroom refurb;noisey and dusty.not one of the management approched us to ask if everything was ok.My partner had just come out of hospital after a operation,we wanted some peice and quiet.     "Generally the hotel and facilities were good. The restaurant however was a bit dissapointing. The food was overpriced for what it was. It also always annoys me when vegetables or potatoes etc are extra and are not included in the cost of the dish. Our second night we got a taxi into town and had a better meal far cheaper. I would stay in the hotel again but I would probably eat out." (99539288)

    Gym, pool, food and the friendliness of check in staff. The room was nice

    Bathroom was mouldy and in need of updating. Also the door to split my room to the single room next door was broken/ left unlocked. Also the reception of the TV was bad

    Comfortable bed, nice to have the freedom to open windows, room service attendants were extremely friendly and efficient.

    toilet mechanism wasn't working properly, television didn't offer many channels, room was quite small
