    Decent bar - food reasonable. Good proximity to town allowing for easy access to restaurants - Via Roma(Italian)is worth a visit just 5 minutes walk away.

    Cheap finish to room, no bedside table, limited hangers.

    "Hotel was dull and lacked light espcially in the stairs and corridors. Some lights were not working. Decor was dated. 4 out of 10. For convenience I stay in Premier Inns a lot which are similar price but you are nowhere near their standard." (107349256)

    waitress in dining room was helpful and attentive. Easy to park. Handy for N E Aberdeen.

    Expensive for what it was.Breakfast was overcooked and burned and fell well below the standard I would expect to find in a Scottish Hotel charging £75 B&B.

    the walls were quite thin as I could hear the noises from the central heatgin system all night. also I had an ajoining room which someone else stayed in and I could hear his snoring. Therefore I did not get a good sleep.

    "The hotel was more than adequate, and we would not hesitate to stay there again if we needed to stay in the area." (97525359)

    The room was clean and had the appearance of being resently renovated. the on-suite was good and the shower/bath everything we could wish for. we only used the dinning room for breakfast but the dinner menu was very appetising and the dinning room was very busy all day on sunday.

    Fire door part way down corridor tended to close with a bang, causing some disturbance during the night. The room needed a chair or two as sitting on the bed was not particularly comfortable.

    The size of the room was great, as were the staff.

    The room was not ready for us, the bed was not made and the room not vaccumed. The shower wouldn't work.

    Small box room with only a skylight, which smelt of stale cigarettes and mould. Hotel was also very noisy.

    "this hotel has a number of rooms that are just not fit,worn out ,shabby ,and too small,The larger rooms are just about ok But people expect better nowadays.We refused to pay anything for the first night.Staff were friendly but really this hotel just inadequate.Breakfast good.Would not have gone if known what it was like Discount however made it a fairly cheap stay.OK if you have got good sense of humour."     We were moved around 3 differet rooms in 3 nights.Last room no5 was good.The first no7 was awful,the second room no2 okay.

    Very outdated in the first room poor decoration ,no soundproofing,noisy guests early hours,complained,gotmoved,then moved again because of booking cockup

    location

    poor service, non existant staff at reception and restaurant, boiler not working which meant no hot water on one morning, alarm calls at 6am not wanted, ceilidh which was loud and noisy with no warning, increased wait for food due to rotary club attending next door, no help with luggage offered.

    Quiet, not too far to Aberdeen Airport

    Room was un-heated & very cold, not homely. Could also smell cigarette smoke in room.

    "A good place to stay. Polite and helpful staff. Can be a little noisy at weekends when the disco is on, however this did not trouble me. Only criticism was I was unable to have the full Scottish breakfast due to leaving early (6.45am) before the chef had arrived, however coffe, toast, juice and cerial was available. If in the area, I would use this hotel again. The manager was very professional and accommodating with any concerns." (3304454589)

    "very satisfied with the hotel in general clean and very comfortable and warm. only things that could have been improved on were a clock radio alarm in the room would have been handy and breakfast was not as good as it could have been" (3304186585)

    "Had I known that I was going to have to wait 10/15 minutes for a waiter to take my breakfast order, I would have gone straight to the railhead. As it happened, I was too late for the train I should have caught, got an undercooked breakfast and had to pay £30.00 for a taxi to Aberdeen for a trip that would have cost £3.60 in order to get to a funeral, which was the reason for my visit. Overall, the hotel and the staff were OK. Attention to detail is required. There is no sense in providing hot toast with almost frozen butter. A minor thing but you can see the point." (3304129370)
