    Beautifully-equipped rooms. Free wireless internet that wasn't trumpeted in advertising but worked better than many advertised networks. Friendly staff who coped well with a loss of power in one house. Good breakfast.

    No bad points at all with the house. Rhayader could do with a railway line.

    Warm, reasonably spacious rooms. Adequate breakfast.

    Very dated accommodation. Bathroom could have been cleaner and room was in need of a good dust.

    Efficient staff who were friendly.

    Room could have been cleaner. Ensuite facilities need updating eg. shower cubicle leaked slightly. Very difficult to open bathroom door when fully closed.

    Room and house nicely furnished and decorated. Very good breakfast. Plesant welcome and friendly, helpful proprietor and staff.

    Mattress very hard. Toilet seat needed replacing and although room and facilitis were clean the floors were only cleaned round the middle - edges of carpets hadn't been touched for some considerable time

    Bathroom fan not working which gave the room a damp musty smell. The view out the window was of a petrol station and a rather large pile of rubble from a building that had been demolished. Breakfast was ok except for happy shopper yoghurts and soggy fried bread.

    Very pleasant stay, warm rooms and good breakfast. Overall good value.

    Lounge and communal areas appeared 'tired and old fashioned' and in need of updating, redecorating etc.

    Easy to book and quick check in.

    Poor decor, bed a little delicate and nervous it might collapse, cobwebs in the bathroom and dirty shower door.

    "Good value for money. Would stay again for a night if we were en-route to somewhere else (as on this occasion)" (107333591)

    Breakfast was very good, amongst the nicest we have had in a B&B. Landlady very friendly. There was private parking behind the B&B and we were told the gates would be closed overnight, so we felt comfortable leaving our car there.

    Carpets a bit dusty, particularly the bathroom. Sink not brilliantly clean, plug was not clean and shiney. Room was in the house next door to the main building. Fortunately it was not raining when we went for breakfast.

    The staff at the hotel were extremely freindly and eager to please. Even to the extent of being available verry early in the morning to see us off.

    Active hotels allowed me to give an American Express Card number for the booking when the hotel dose not accept this. This meant that the hotel owner had to waste time contacting me for an alternative form of payment.

    Pleasant and helpful staff (owner). activehotels website - I found this far more useful than similar sites I've seen in the past (though mostly comparing with holiday cottage booking sites) with good summary of accommodation available, price and up-to-date availability. Can I suggest you add late availability special offers. Also make it clear that although the online booking process takes credit card details the actual payment is made at the hotel checkout.
