    Staff courteous and helpful. Room spacious and clean. Kitchen staff in from 05.00 to make cooked breakfast - great service!

    Room extremely hot even with window fully open.

    The Hotel is well placed in the Town Centre,very spacious Dinning hall,very polite waiters Breakfast well presented,room was very clean and tidy.

    The Hotel as well as the town looks tired in need of some TLC,pillows small, Radio not working in the room,

    good sized room.friendly reception. decor/furnishing consistant with victorian age of property,good food.reasonably bar prices for area.

    lack of english/welsh spoken or even understood by dining room staff, who ran around like headless chickens when anything was requested that was outside their knowledge of six english words, suspect if you spoke polish everything would be fine.

    I got a spacious en-suite room for £30 per night B&B which I thought was good value. The staff were attentive.

    Shower in room was unusable due to low water pressure.

    Apart from breakfast there were no good points.

    Because of the age of the hotel we had to pass through at laest 6 heavy fire doors which were hard to manipulate with luggage. The beds were very uncomfortable, the mattress and pillows were very hard. The cold water tap at night ran warm water and as no bottled water had been supplied it was the only option. There was no hairdryer or bath toiletries apart from 2 small bars or soap. There was no internet connections.

    Welcoming, friendly, accommodating and polite staff (especially at reception); clean and spacious room; good choice at breakfast; flexible arrangements eg checkout times, car park use etc; very comfortable bed and pillows.

    The reception and hallways had a rather unpleasant smell (similar to urine); no internet connection in bedroom; no signs for the lift on 2nd floor, no toiletries in bedroom. Would have liked option of a smoking room. Old fashioned, dated decor; no mini bar or satellite TV option in room.

    Very difficult to find the car park in the dark - no help with bags offered. Room small dingy and far too hot. No way to turn radiator off it had to be done by a man with pliers. Bed lumpy and uncomfortable - pillows and mattress Shower totally inadequate Food - slow service and unappetising main course

    shower - poor, needs to be modernised. Little power in flow and had to be hand held. Furbishments will need looking at as on their way to being 'tired'

    All the staff are really helpful and very accommodating, providing excellent customer service.

    The hotel could do with a face-lift - the floors are very creaky and the decor is outdated. The tables for 4 in the dining room are very small and, in my opinion, should only be for 2 - larger tables needed.

    VICTORIAN FACADE AND LARGE COMMON ROOMS

    VERY POOR STANDARD OF FOOD. DECOR LOOKING DATED AND UNTIDY. OVERALL LACKING IN SHARPNESS.
