    It was close to trafford centre and was reasonably cheap

    When we arrived we thought it was shut down! Poor standard of rooms. Doors looked very old and my partner who is in the building trade thought they were lined with asbestos!Breakfast was minimal. One egg on one slice of toast.

    Room clean and comfortable good value for money. Staff helpful when asked about public transport.

    Outside of the hotel needs to be improved. Untidy gardens and no kerb appeal.

    Good location for access to Manchester and surrounding area. The Dining Room was clean and bright and the full English breakfast was good. Clean bedding. Plenty of car parking space available.

    Very much 'run-down', tired and in need of a thorough clean and 'spruce-up' Our room came with free Chinese meal.........rice and noodles splattered on wall by previous guest and the shade of the main ceiling light contained various items probably thrown by bored guest. (Shower shampoo sachet, coffee sachet and other small items that I didn't remove.) The shower cubicle sealing had considerable black mould. The walls between adjacent rooms are extremely thin and inadequately sound proofed The shower cubicle in the room of our companions was in a worst state, had a toilet door that was without a guide at the bottom and dark brown water flowed from the basin tap when first turned on.

    Breakfast, excellent choice, good service. Tea/Coffee/Milk/Sugar in room had a good amount of each. Hotel staff were good.

    Rooms were basic. Equipment was fairly basic but operational. Dinig room could do with redecorating.

    Pleasant owner and waitress, rooms clean.

    Thin walls so those of us with noisy guests next door had problems sleeping. 10 minutes' walk to Metrolink.

    Fantastic cooked breakfast every morning, room was cleaned every day, helpful & friendly staff.

    Slightly cramped room, shower difficult to control - but hardly a major inconvenience.

    Windows closed on arrival on very hot day Bedding not suitable for summer There was no thought about climate change. The heating was on No Thermostatic Valves on any Radiator No Radio Could not find instructions and costs for using the telephone

    Needed some upgrading. Wake up call failed to work.Although it was supposed to be Non Smoking that fragrance was still very evident.

    The hotel is located by a main road which is very convenient. The tramway station is not to far. The staff is really nice and helpful. The hotel is quiet.The price for a night is really wise for a Saturday night.

    The car park is small.

    Was a peaceful location close to my final destination. The staff were friendly and helpful.

    Very creaky floorboards in my room. If the hotel had been full it might have been a distraction.

    The check in was fast, the staff are friendly, the breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable.

    The hotel is in a poor state of repair, with primitive facilities and a low decoration budget. It is in need of a major overhaul and some serious investment.

    Tiny rooms, limited hot water, old beds anf furniture. Not very high on the list of cleanest hotels.

    "There is a bar, but I'm not sure what times it is open. We arrived at about 8.30 and the owner didn't mention it, so presumably it was closed.     "Nice hotle, not far from the city Centre not far to travel. Nice accomodation suitable for a weekend aways with friends, Nice full english breakfast.     "I had read the reviews of the hotel before booking, they were not great, but I decided to take the plunge anyway (well, it was cheap). The reviews turned out to be accurate. After one night on a very lumpy mattress and constantly being woken up by people stomping about upstairs, going to the toilet and taking showers in the very early hours, we were ready to check out no matter how much a new hotel would cost! However, the breakfast was good and location convenient, so instead we asked to be moved. This was done with good grace and the room we were given was much quieter, although the mattress was still old and lumpy. The overall appearance of the hotel was scruffy. The ceiling in the dining room was leaking and bulged worryingly, the sign out front was smashed and the place was generally dusty and out-dated. As a Bed and Breakfast the hotel did 50% of its job, but if you want a good nights sleep I would pay a little more and go somewhere not in such dire need of refurbishment!" (99139444)

    Beds were clean. Breakfast was adequate. Quiet. Low Tech.

    Room was not clean (Floor not vacuumed). Toilet was clean but needed maintenance work done..shower cubicle not nice..did not feel comfortable about showering! Bar not open. Room was too small for twin accommodation.

    "If you are looking for basic, cheap accommodation in Manchester, then this would probably fit the bill. Although looking a bit tatty in places, it was clean, facilities in the room were ok and the breakfast wasn't too bad. If you require dinner, then forget the hotel. There does not appear to be too much nearby either - chip shop (take away only)and chinese over the road, pub not too far away although I didn't frequent it. As a budget stop over, I would probably stay there again in the future." (99792819)

    Reasonable cost. Facilities were acceptable. Access to motorway routes is good.

    It wasn't the smartest place I've stayed in, but then again, I've stayed in 4* hotels where the rooms were not much better. Also, if you want a drink or something to eat in the evening, you have to go out.
