    "A very disappointing experience." (108976418)

    It was dirty. The blanket was full of hair. There was even hair on the sheets. There was fresh blood on the shower door and on one of the towels. The room was extremely hot, even with the fan on and the window open. The breakfast was not good and it was insufficient. You had too choose between cereals and eggs! Far too expensive!

    "We were happy to check out. No air conditioning - dirty fan on the desk. Shower stall was "maybe" 3 feet across and impossible. Entire hotel was stifling with no air current or ventilation. " (107943046)

    Close to Victoria Station and locale in Victoria.

    No lift (elevator) - no air conditioning (room was very hot). Room had 2 ft perimeter around the bed that wasn't vacuumed for 5 days during our stay. The bathroom never appeared clean. Staff was generally unfriendly and not helpful to travellers. Breakfast that came free with room was poor.

    The room wasn't spotless and smelt. The hotel was very noisey last thing at night and very early in the morning that the staff actually woke us up with their walking about and talking considering it was only around 6am. The dining room was tiny not enough room to swing a cat!!!

    Staff quite kind

    Room very very small and dirty. Very small and uncomfortable "double" bed. In the wardrobe I found some dirty clothes. Three nights of stay, linen never changed. English breakfast inadequate and disgustous.

    "We enjoyed our stay in London both going and returning from the Canary Islands. Both hotels were in the same area and handy to Victoria station, lots of shops, pubs, tours so a very nice place to stay." (107132667)

    The room was clean, comfortable, and in a very nice neighbourhood.

    no elevator, no face cloth, sink stopper was disconnected. Rooms in London hotels are very tiny compared to what we are used to back in Canada.

    Breakfast reasonable. Hotel clean and tidy.

    pleasant room, quiet, nice pictures, pleasant staff, very handy location, nice little breakfast room.

    breakfast, though freshly cooked, was a bit ordinary. White sliced white for toast, no question of being asked if I preferred brown etc., and the bacon sausage and tinned tomato a bit ordinary, all a little oily as well. So in my view, you need to cheer up the breakfast a bit. No tea-making facilities in room.

    "I was more than happy to have selected this Hotel. the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I was impreseed by management that takes a very hands on approach, made themselves easily reachable and available, friendly, and helpful they showed a genuine interest in ensuring that we are happy with things."     Staff are friendly and management is always at hand and ready to assist. Nice location.

    The room and common area is a little cluttered but otherwise has all the facilities one needs (including a safe), is comfortable and clean.

    Good location.Staff very helpful.

    No tea/coffee in rooms only a machine in reception. We were in a family room on the top floor.It was small but functional but was way too hot.

    Friendly, helpful staff, very quiet road, decent bed and good shower.

    No tea making facilities in room - had to pay extra for a cup of tea and leave room to get it. Ungenerous breakfast - no fruit, had to pay extra for small additions to breakfast, no individual pot of tea. Had to ask for a second towel.

    Situated in central London near to everything

    Too small room. No other facilities to stay in in the evening, like a reception ect. The breakfast was not as good as you get in an B&B

    "The breakfast was disappointing. Most people would only eat a 'full English' when staying away from home and the proportions and flavour fell far below expectations.     "Bathroom smelled of damp. Shower door leaked and grout was dirty. No tea and coffee making facilities. Room was small. My husband called me at the hotel and gave my room number. The switchboard operator/receptionist told my husband that I was in my male colleague's room when this was not the case!!! He blamed it on an inaccurate room list but I was horrified by such a stupid mistake which could have had disastrous consequences - completely unacceptable as my marriage could have been ruined. The person concerned apologised profusely but I explained that the damage had been done. He then had the nerve to charge me 75p for a phone call - unbelievable!!!" (99496867)

    "The staff are polite and helpful and the hotel is generally clean. It was very hot when I visited and this can be a problem on the top floor when there is no air-conditioning and no lift.     Recently painted, new curtains etc.

    Smelly drains in the bathroom. No air-conditioning. I was initially offered a stiflingly hot room on the third floor in the attic but was then given a cooler one on the second floor when I said I could not sleep there. I did not like the breakfast - they seem to be saving money here - the tea and coffee are kept in a vacuum flask and are therefore stewed and they offer cheap bread. The only cereal on offer was slightly stale cornflakes.

    "What a refreshing difference from other London hotels we have used in the past! Our bedroom was clean and well decorated, as were the public rooms. From the moment we arrived to the time of departure(which came too soon) the staff were charming and attentive without being intrusive, they truly cared for our wellbeing and ensured we enjoyed our stay. The full breakfast was nicely cooked and presented. The provision of in-room tea coffee making facilities would have been an added bonus but did not detract from our enjoyment. Overall a very pleasant stay which we hope to repeat in the not too distant future." (3304708621)
