    quiet, clean and central

    carpetin bedroom stained. Plastic key not properly explained... it also worked the lift which we were not told about.

    Excellent location. Very friendly staff

    Bathroom not up to same standard as rest of room & hotel. Very irritating that the fixed liquid soap dispenser was high on the wall over the loo - which was well away from the hand wash basin - what was the room planner thinking of!!!! I almost went and bought a bar of soap, even though I was only there for one night. Also, the bedroom windows are completely overlooked by buildings opposite - the only way to stop feeling like I was in a goldfish bowl was to draw the very heavy curtains, which completely blacked out the room - not nice when I just wanted to let some light in on a sunny morning, but was not yet up or dressed. They need to have a secondary light screening - maybe a lightweight roller blind.

    "Overall, the hotel stay was excellent and only small ' bad points ' which did not impact in any way on the experience. Location is perfect, hotel staff wonderful, hotel very clean and very quiet considering it is on a busy street. We thorougly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and loved our twin top floor room which was very spacious. Any small probs - like the lifts not working - were negated by the tremendously helpful staff who continually offer their help. An easy and pleasurable stay." (97675127)

    Staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. Upgraded us to a better room even though we'd not seen the one they'd booked for us ! Great view from top floor room, very clean. Loads of well placed sockets which made things very easy when there are two of you drying hair and re-charging mobiles. Location of hotel perfect.

    For a 4 star, some signs of wear and tear ( windows in room difficult to open ), bathroom very small, no individual toiletries and no biscuits to go with the drink sachets. Downstairs toilets below reception housed a strange damp smell,albeit below street level. Only one lift was in service and on check out day, neither were working so we were consigned to the staff lift.

    The location was excellent for shopping and theatre and all the staff were both helpful and very friendly and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. would recommend this hotel.

    The rooms were on the small side and some of the tables and chairs needed a touch of paint and a few extra pictures on the walls would have WARMED the look of the room.

    "Staff very unhelpful. We were not made aware that there are various sizes of rooms - Small-Medium and Large. We had to leave the restaurant because of excessive cigarette smoke from the bar area. Overall a not very pleasent stay in a central London hotel.     It was very central to the theatre/opera that we had planned on seeing.

    The reception staff were surly and not very helpful. The room and bathroom was very small and it was impossible to avoid falling over your luggage in such a cramped situation. At check-out when i was asked at reception if i had enjoy my stay and informed them of how small the room was. I was told that i should have requested a 'larger room'

    The location of hotel was superb.

    Our room was very small and had a horrible view of scaffolding! I found the hotel bar small and very expensive, even for London prices.

    staff were extremely polite and helpful and although we were upgraded to a suit we were disappointed with the overall state of the carpet which did have a couple of small stains ie: coffee/blood? along with larger areas that had possibly been treated which spoiled the overall appearance due to appearing as large dark circles.

    "c'est un excellent hotel très central dans un excellent environnement, avec un café DIAL qui permet les rendez-vous. La couleur de la suite et de la chambre (marron) est triste ! mais la chambre et les prestations sont excellentes. Vous ne devriez pas charger autant pour les petits déjeuners en chambre par rapport à la gratuité en salle. Le système de carte pour l'ascenseur (sécurité oblige)marche très mal J'ai choisi cet hotel après le Pastoria et le Hampshire car il est très bien situé." (2220704)

    n'ai pas pu avoir la catégorie de chambre réservée le 1er jour ensuite ai eu une belle suite mais manque d'un coin internet avec plusieurs ordinateurs dans l'hôtel. Le seul qui est là est pris d'assaut et se situe dans le hall.

    The quality and location of the hotel.

    After booking, I e-mailed the hotel. Both myself and my partner are vegetarian, and we wanted to ensure an alternative to the full english (that was included in the price) would be available. No-one replied to my e-mail, despite the fact that I received an acknowledgement e-mail.
