    "Disappointed we were not able to relax in or obtain a drink from the bar area before dinner. As a result we went for a drink and meall locally; not what we had planned to do in staying at this hotel. If the bar was to have been out of use this should have been advertised more clearly on the booking form/ hotel details. " (108114913)

    Very friendly and helpful staff, good food and service

    The only problem was the shower in the bathroom, which was very fiddly to use and temperamental. It had very little water pressure.

    Excellent location right on the seafront. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff.

    Parking can be at a bit of a premium at busy times in this popular location.

    Friendly hotel; good spirit among staff. They gave us 10% discount on all food and drink which we appreciated and which encouraged us to eat in hotel.

    Excellent location on the sea front. Next to main shopping street, everything close to hand. Some rooms have a sea view, although our window hadn't been cleaned for a while and was obscured by bird poo.

    Not much acoustic seperation between rooms. The TV in the adjacent room sounded as though it was in our room and we had to complain to have it turned down. Breakfast was below average... I left most of it. Really cheap ingredients.

    It was lovely and warm throughout our stay and the food quality was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to our friends.

    the cold water tap was running warm, so no drinking water in the room & the standing lamp was not working so I couldn't use the dressing table mirror as poor lighting. Also, when I booked the new years eve package, it wasn't made clear that I would be sharing a long table with other guests, i thought i would be sitting as a couple with my partner as this was also my birthday dinner.

    Staff were very friendly,exceptionally polite and very helpful.

    1. The initially allocated room smelled stronly of cigarette smoke but was changed immediately when brought to the attention of the reception desk. 2. As there were not enough convenient electrical outlets,it was necessary to keep disconnecting the electric clock or the television set when wanting to boil the kettle to make a hot drink.

    Perfect location. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant public rooms. Easy parking.

    Double room VERY cramped and in poor decorative order. Very noisy plumbing.Overnight accommodation charge VERY expensive versus other comparable hotels we have stayed in recently, which had much bigger, nicer, better furnished bedrooms for similar or less money. Our room here was barely adequate with a luxury room price tag and we were very disappointed.

    "We had an extremely good weekend helped by the good weather the hotel was very nice and the food very good also the wine which was recommended to us by the waitress - we would not hesitate to come back - maybe for xmas." (107927148)

    It was a lovely hotel with a comfortable feel about it - the room was very nice with every facility we would need - the bed was extremely comfortable and cosy

    The ambience of the hotel was lovely and generally so were the staff - however we found the reception staff although on check-in ok on check out we were not asked if our stay had been pleasant or wished a safe journey home - to us these things are important

    Generally friendly and comfortable stay. Reasonable evening meal but pedestrian presentation.

    Did not like restuarant evening staff clearing tables and relaying for breakfast all around us at 8.30 or so in the evening. i'm surprised you do not have check boxes for the restuarant and bar in the list above.

    when we asked to be moved to a better room, with a sea view rather than over the car park, this was arranged for the next day. the new room was infinitely better in all respects: much more space, larger bed and bathroom and a sea view - but there was an extra charge to pay.

    first bedroom had very limited space, thin walls and was at the back of the hotel. Fairly chaotic at breakfast with many mistakes with orders.

    Good standard of cleanliness in rooms used and an excellent breakfast.

    A dog barking inthe next bedroom was a nuisance for about one hour while owners went to dinner. Do not like the idea of animals in bedrooms and would request a room that hasn't been occupied by a dog in future. Anyone with allergies would find this inappropriate and unhealthy.

    ersonal atmoshere friendly helpful staff. Had family to dine in the evening food was excellent and the waitress was friendly and efficient.

    Not a major bad point but in twin room beds set close together I was staying with my mother not all people booking twin rooms are couples.

    Very good breakfast; lovely views; friendy staff; good room apart from a problem with the bath (see below).

    Faulty bath which leaked into hotel restaurant when emptied! Guests are allowed to bring dogs and people in a nearby room had two dogs - we were twice disturbed by barking at 6 am.
