    The Mahons were very friendly and also the staff.The food and entertainment was to a very high standard.The room had all requirements needed.

    Spacious clean room, kind staff

    Food at the restaurant was not so good. A Light in a corridor was off or out of order. One of the cups in the room had perfume smell.

    "In summary just okay if you are looking for a cheap overnight stay! I worked in the Hotel Industry and basically I know what to look at when I enter a hotel! unfortunately for me there were too many negatives and not enough positives!! This hotel has great potential! looks great from the outside it just needs someone to concentrate on the 'finer details'" (2873553)

    good basic accommodation although I stayed in the new part my room smelt strongly of cigarettes and I did not feel confident to walk barefoot on the carpets as it was covered in quite alot of stains. Other than these 2 factors the room was clean and presentable

    The excellent friendly atmosphere, the zise of the room.Location.

    The bar only servded until 9.30pm, so I went out of hotel to eat and drink in the evening.

    We left as soon as we found alternative accomodation

    Our room was in the old part of the hotel, the room was very dity, electric wires hanging out of the wall and the wallpaper was comming off the walls. Fawlty Towers stuff

    "overall i enjoyed my stay but would have liked to have been told that the hotel was locked up at a particular time and that there was no 24hr help at reception." (1815318)

    staff where very friendly and irvinestown is a friendly beautiful place so great place to stay

    carpets could be cleaner although not filthy just a bit worn looking. we werent told the hotel closed at a particular time and where locked out when we arrived back late a couple of mornings and nobody answered reception phone had to get a cleaners attention after walking around the hotel a few times and he let us in

    "My stay along with my 2 sisters was fantastic. We were staying here because we wanted to surprise our gran on her 90th birthday. All the staff were great and made us feel really welcome. hopfully we will be back soon. So stock the bar Joe, you will never know when we may return. Clair, Linda and Karen" (2302374)

    Overall, positive experience. Felt the bar created a nice atmosphere and cosy ambience.

    "I arrived later than i had planned to and was expecting not to be able to get anything to eat in the hotel and to have to go out to a restaurant, but the manager cooked me something to eat even though the chef had left. That was really appreciated and as such made a nice start to my stay. I am coming back to Northern Ireland later this year and i would like to stay at Mahon's Hotel again. I have told my collegues what a great place it is and some of them want to stay too." (2355700)

    A huge king size bed, even though i booked a single room. Sometimes hotels have single beds which i do not like.

    "With regard to the above statement it was clear that there was work being undertaken at the hotel - maybe it is planned that these will be improved. Directions on website (general comment to active hotels) are poor - just say Mill street Irvinestown. Could be a little clearer - e.g Hotel situated on main Enniskillen/Irvinestown Road just as you reach the town centre of Irvinestown." (2320832)

    Great rooms, great service, excellent value.

    Parking lot was a bit hard to find. Directions on website could also be improved.

    The only comments I would make is that staff put a little more effort in explaining about the local sites and area in order to orientate the visitor.
