    Food excellent. Comfortable Lounge. Pleasant large bathroom.

    Bedroom - Not enough towels and toilet paper. No clothes hangers in wardrobe and wardrobe handle broken. One light bulb not working. Not all TV channels available. Room not prepared properly.

    Very spacious room and bathroom, well presented. Friendly staff, and excellent food. The lounge was a comfortable haven in less than perfect weather!

    No really bad points, though the furniture in the dining room, while comfortable, did not match the Georgian surroundings.

    comfy bed

    carpet had stains on it, bed creaked everytime we moved..shower had no power, and went from cold to scolding. it does go on but haven't got the time.

    Food Good, Staff very nice. Helpfull all round even down to night porter. Nice experience overall even the town itself.

    My wife has a disability and no lifts were a big issue for us, the staff done their best by placing us on the second floor. poor ventelation in rooms hard to open windows.

    "Excellent, great food, breakfast was fabulous, I ate at the local Indian but my mother said the bar meal was good. I will probably stay with you again if im in Yorkshire." (107810254)

    this was an overnight stay to break a journey, it was only meant to be a refresher, a bed for the night and a shower, meal etc. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience, the staff were friendly, the place was clean, overall, excellent

    The only down point was that we were unable to get the tv to work, we told the receptionist on departure and she informed us there would be a switch beside the bed to activate the tv, had we of reported it, she would of personally called to the room, our own fault really for not doing so. She was more than helpful.

    Staff were brilliant, room was spacious and the hotel was very conveniently situated in the centre of Richmond.

    Room was poorly heated and we did feel cold at times in there. Standard of food in upstairs restaurant was satisfactory but not one of the strengths of the hotel

    Poor quality of room. No dresser draws. No heating in bathroom. No shower. Heating poor.

    No good points.

    Part used toiletries in bathroom, bin had not been emptied from previous guest,the room was bitterly cold no heating through the night.-4deg c. outside

    "Priced at £99 for a double room, you do not get value for money!!!! I stayed in better hotels for half the price." (107903190)

    Breakfast was good. We asked to be moved from the first room as there was no shower attachment for the en-suite, this was done with no hesitation, although the hotel was quiet.

    The shower in the second room was covered in mildew, although it had a separate toilet, the window was plain glass with no curtains, which was over looked by other buildings!!!

    the breakfast

    I asked for a discount as I booked 2 rooms and it would have been cheaper for us to go in as day visitors. My sons room as a single was nicer than ours as a double, But when you stay 2 nights by the time you complain amove just unsettles you. We were too busy trying to get warm as the radiator didn't work for thee whole our stay. The heater provided was warm but very noisy. With frosted glass there was no view but the company of pigeons outside would not have made the view from this room any sweeter. All in all I felt ripped off paying nearly £300 for a visit to my son at catterick garrison.

    There were no good points

    The hotel was dirty, carpets filthy. Entrance to reception from car park was smelly and covered in feathers, There was a hole in the bath, no shower curtain and wall paper was torn in places. 'Superior' room was in need of major cleaning. Lingering smell throughout hotel. Couldn't wait to get out into fresh air!

    The staff were lovely very helpfull and very kind

    The view out of the window in room 16 was facing right on a roof which made us feel we where in a cell. The bathroom had cobwebs above the shower. The bed was very uncomfortable

    Car Parking on site. Friendly staff.

    Bar can be quite bust at times if trying to have an evening meal. Breakfast not available until 7.30am.

    Staff very polite and mannerly

    Room extremely basic, a single bed tucked against the wall, window wouldn't stay open as there was no sash cord, and it was a very hot day and evening.

    Breakfast could benefit from being served half hour earlier for business travellers on a tight schedule. The bill for one night!

    Food excellent, staff service excellent, room clean.

    Bed uncomfortable ( not long enough ). Early morning peace at Breakfast or afterwards in the lounges was regularly spoilt by a cleaner with a very noisy Vacuum cleaner. Should be done earlier, before most guests are around. Couldn't get the radiator or the heated towel rail to work, so no heating in the room or bathroom.

    Pleasant dining room, newly decorated. Very nice breakfast, friendly, polite staff.
