    "We booked the 2 night package deal which was brilliant value for money. The weather was beautiful and we would have loved to have stayed longer. We would recommnd the hotel to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing break. " (107342457)

    The views from the hotel are spectacular. It is in walking distance of Llangollen and the Horseshoe Falls along the canal in one direction and Telfords Aquaduct in the other. In fact if you like walking and countryside it is in a perfect location for visiting Chester,Chirk Castle, the Ceiriog valley, Horseshoe pass, Snowdonia, etc. the list is endless. Llangollen area is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, walking and water sports and the Bryn Howell is perfectly located for this although we did not notice water sports organised from this hotel but they are close by.

    No bad points from our point of view but if you are looking for somewhere lively, you would have to drive a 2 or 3 miles as the Bryn Howell is set in its own grounds.

    Excellent location from Llangollen, good use of facilities at The Wild Pheasant, excellent breakfast.

    Television didnt work very good.

    "Overall a good hotel and value for money, just slightly disappointed with the room since on the day of arrival we were nearly the only ones in the hotel. I would normally have expected to get a better room. We booked a special 2 night breakfast deal, yet when we were checking out other people checked out with smaller bills for double rooms including breakfast as well..." (107374446)

    the restaurant, bar/lounge were very nice and the area the hotel is located is perfect.

    the rooms looked outdated from the rest of the hotel, and we had a room next to the stairs which kept us awake during the night.

    We found the hotel good, food and rooms except see below

    One of the three rooms we booked had a radiator which could not be turned off which made the night very uncomfortable as the weather was unseasonably warm. Next morning the room was changed but unfortunately the room and bed were much smaller and not really adequate for a couple but this might have been the only room free as the hotel was very busy saturday night

    The rooms themselves were incredibly clean, however the communal areas had cobwebs and broken lights.

    Food very good, plenty of parking.

    Noisy guests from wedding party, kept us awake until 2.30 AM on the first night of our stay.

    A lovely setting with an attractive front to the building and well kept grounds.

    Whle hotel in generaland particulalrly the bathroom in the room was in need of updating. Really old green tiles on the wall.

    Lovely hotel, attentive and efficient staff, beautiful setting

    Unfortunately, the weather was very hot, which made sleeping difficult, I do not think this was a fault of the hotel, bearing in mind as an old building the windows are rather small.

    A very pleasant, comfortable hotel, in a beautiful setting. Delightful room overlooking the canal. Very friendly, efficient staff - great food at very reasonable prices

    The only one I can think of is that the mattress on the bed was a little lumpy!

    "We were there a short while, getting in late in the evening and leaving straight after breakfast so we didn't have much time to look around. Our stay was pleasant enough, with very helpful, good-natured staff, but rather a tired feel to decoration." (108089177)

    The light in the bathroom did not work,but was fixed as soon as we asked for a repair.

    There was no window or fan in the bathroom, so the air was rather stale. Also, the corridor to the room was dingy and stale smelling.

    "When I booked the hotel I asked on the form for a room with a canal view, I rang to confirm this had been done and was told no it hadn't and that all the rooms were now allocated. However the receptionist did say she would do what she could. When we arrived they had changed the rooms and we DID have a canal view. The reception staff were not over friendly however the bar and restaurant staff were very helpful and the food in both the bar and restaurant was very good." (97700451)

    Hotel set in nice grounds with good facilities for the dogs. Restaurant and bar food was excellent.

    Staff seemed overworked and the hotel seemed to attract mainly elderly residents. Perhaps more could be done to attract a younger clientele

    Room was excellent, jacuzzi was lovely, it was quiet and peaceful, convenient for Llangolen and Trevor. Lovely walks along the canal.

    "For the tarrif we paid we were most pleased to find ourselves in an externally and internally impressive hotel. There is nothing additional that we needed to know beforehand with one minor exception, that applies in our own particular case; As pensioners travelling on a budget it would have been advantageous to be aware of dining costs. We were cautious during our stay, and ate our evening meal in the town, rather than risk embarrassment when presented with your dining room bill. One difficulty we experienced in the unfamiliar area, was that your roadside notice was hard to spot in the dark. Illumination of the sign would assist visiting guests at night and might assist in a small way, to advertise your excellent hotel." (97446388)

    Clean, well sized room, warm comfortable and quiet. Lift service. Impressive and stylish public areas and an excellent breakfast.

    "strictly non smoking. Our room was adequate, though there was no enamel on bath, and the bathroom tiles were old, dirty, and mouldy. The only refurbishment evident were newish curtains.The nets were stained quite badly." (97491837)
