"Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location for our purpose. Breakfast was very tasty and hot (which is not always the case in hotels!)." (97753525)
Very comfortable with a good view of the Natural History Museum.
Room was a little on the small size but as we were only staying one night it wasn't a problem.

"Quite pleasant stay. Very friendly staff. Receptionist inexperienced in verifying and processing credit card. Scaffolding and building work did not improve comfort or light in to the room." (97880840)
Space for clothes in a small room. Imaginative decor.
Very poor mattress. hard and sloped to one side. Curtains cords broken so curtains wouldn't close.

"On arrival members of staff other than the reception staff getting in the way of the reception desk. The room was a reasonable size but the decor was tatty, wallpaper coming off the wall, carpets grubby. Good size bathroom but the brass fittings we dull and green. The bed was large and comfortable and the location was quiet. A bit on the expensive side for what we had." (99394988)

"On the whole we enjoyed the stay, the room certainly didn't disappoint, staff were courteous and everything was clean. We ordered Room Service on the first night which was somewhat disappointing as it was clearly microwaved. I think if you're offering microwaved food it should state so on the menu - this is a comment against all hotels, not just the Gallery. At least that way hotel guests can make an informed choice." Opulence of the room, wanted something a bit special for my wife's birthday and the room certainly provided what was needed.
The DVD player didn't play DVDs loud enough (tried several DVDs and checked cables and all that) and hotel staff couldn't fix it. Bit disappointing as we wanted to enjoy the surroundings of the room on our last night and watch a couple of films. Also, when we returned to the room one evening the door had not been closed properly by the hotel staff after cleaning, meaning the room and all of our belongings were available to whomever decided to wander in.

"We have no cause for complaint. It is a very charming hotel, nicely decorated and clean. The staff were excellent especially the young French porter/waiter. Everything seemed to be available that we asked for and was presented efficiently and with style." (99463476)
The room was charmingly decorated, the staff were friendly and helpful and very efficient.
Kettle was hard to plug into only available powerpoint. Bed was too hard.

Close to the museums, very nice room.
The shower in the bath cycled on and off during showers.Should be fixed.

"The service and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well organised but very compact. There was a range of toiletries in the bathroom. The public rooms had a super range of framed pictures/paintings to look at and the dining room was very well furnished and nicely set out. The breakfast was uninspiring and for the price of the accomodation I would not expect to be offered tinned peaches!!! Fresh fruit would have been much more acceptable." (2191499)

"My daughter and I really enjoyed staying at the Gallery Hotel. It was clean and well decorated and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We also liked the convenience of being able to eat breakfast at the hotel each morning and the food was very good. We stayed at the Gallery as a result of a friend's recommendation and we are glad that we did. I would not hesitate to recommend the Gallery Hotel to my friends as well." (1835909)

great area, nice and quiet. very polite staff
ALL of the staff are foreign [not english] which caused a great deal of confusion and mistakes were made due to this. we were very disappointed with the quality and size of the meal considering the price we were charged. we would advise eating out.
