    "We had a wonderful stay. This was my first trip to Shrewsbury in over 40 years, and my wife's first trip to the area: My Mother grew up in the Shrewsbury area, and I wanted my wife to see where she grew up. The staff at the Albright-Hussy made our stay memorable in many ways; all of them good memories. " (108283443)

    Beautiful hotel, small, very friendly, very efficient. Staying in a historic Manor house was a unique and memorable experience. Food was excellent! Front desk was very helpful arranging transportation for a trip to Ironbridge and later to the Maesbury area.

    "Cash bar only, no credit cards. Smallest coke I have ever seen - I really didn't know they could make bottles that small. Sharp pricing. Drinking at the 5-star Cardiff St David's Hotel, a place not known for its economy, is cheaper." (107408318)

    location, parking, weather - we came for a wedding held at the hotel and for this the location was glorious and the reception first class

    Our room was on the small side for the price and given the promotional build up rather disappointing. Bathroom door did not have space to open easily. Breakfast was a shambles. There was no staff attention at all. We were seated almost in the lap of other guests and had to eat amid their not yet cleared plates and empty cups. Toast was soggy. I couldn't face the bacon. We were made to feel extremely uncomfortable.

    Attentive helpful staff cleanliness

    Being asked by a member of staff to tie my 10 month old to a chair with a ribbon during the wedding breakfast as their were no highchairs!!! I also found all the food i was served to be very salty to the point of being inedible this was the opinion of mostpeople who ate during the wedding

    Room was tiny and right next to drop off point. Everytime someone got out of their car during the night and early hours of the morning we were woken up. The shower didnt work properly and flooded the bathroom. There were two bottle of water in the room and tea and coffee, I expected a mini bar with orange juice etc. Our TV didnt work properly either, there were three fuzzy chanels.Not that I had time to watch it but it should have worked. Staff were not overly friendly.

    Fantastic development of unique house. New additions and modern facilities blends seemingly effortlessly (but oh,do we appreciate the effort involved!) with period building and details. Simply standing ovations ! Friendly and helpful staff, clean and charming room. Fantastic dinner in beautiful resturant.

    "I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. It would be an awesome place to hold a function (ie: wedding, special party or business function), but is just as wonderful for a weekend break. Can't praise them enough." (107925066)

    The customer service was second to none! We were made to feel like part of the family and nothing was too much trouble. The food was first class...so much so that we changed our plans and ate at the Hotel for the whole of our stay...breakfast, lunch and the a la carte menu for our evening meal. First class!

    The only thing they couldn't do was arrange the weather!

    Nice location. Delicious evening meals which were nicely cooked and presented. All the staff were very attentive.

    We had an executive double room which could have been more "executive". Showerhead over bath was poor.

    Lovely Setting, great function rooms, very friendly staff

    Poor room description. Room was not 25m2, you could hardly fit in the bathroom and the bathroom door was resticted by how far it could open as it hit the bath. I'm not a large man, but it was a squeeze to actually get into the bathroom. Our view on the groundfloor was of the car park, not glorious countryside.

    "Fantastic. The hotel was very close to Shrewsbury but far enough away to give us the peace and tranquility we wanted. We felt pampered and looked after and we will definitely return." (3305183117)

    The accommodation was everything we had hoped for and the service in particular was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was also excellent and the historic surroundings were perfect.

    The website advertises table d'hote meals but the hotel told us that the only menu it did was a la carte which limited our choices. However, the chef did create a special chicken dish for me, because there was no chicken on the a la carte menu.

    "The hotel is situated in a rural setting but is easy to find and very close to Shrewsbury. The hotel is moated and your entry to reception takes you past the swans and ducks that live in the beautiful grounds. The hotel is a combination of old and modern and offers a good range of facilities of a high standard. The bedroom was nicely furnished, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the medieval restaurant where the staff were very friendly and efficient. I would certainly recommend at stay at Albright whether for business or leisure." (3305212550)

Although the restaraunt became busy in the evening, we were made to feel that we were still catered for on an individual basis, and that the manager had time for us.     "The quality of accommodation was excellent, but the staff were exceptional. When the taxi reception booked to take us to our function in Shrewsbury failed to arrive (despite their chasing telephone calls) staff not only personally drove us there, but offered to collect us (until 2am) if we were unable to find a taxi for the return journey. They also refused to accept any payment for this service. This extra service enabled us to enjoy the function which would otherwise have been ruined as one of us would have been forced to drive."
