    "I was generally satisfied with the hotel and enjoyed my stay. " (108497085)

    The hotel was well situated within easy walking distance of the town and river walks. The staff were extremely helpful, providing us with details of buses, boat rides etc. An excellent continental breakfast was provided. The price was very impressive for a London hotel.

    My friend was very concerned about fire safety as there was only one steep staircase leading from our rooms. A vertical ladder was provided to help us escape onto the roof if the need arose although my friend doubted she could use this. The shower in my room was pitiful and the water pressure dropped to virtually nothing if anyone else in the hotel turned on a tap.

    Charming Building with lots of squeeky boards but full of character. Excellent location on the river and central for my work. Staff all very helpful and friendly.

    Breakfast was good. Staff friendly.

    My room was rather run-down. The wall-to-wall carpets was dirty and dusty. One of the curtains was falling off. Wiring for electrical appliances lying around in a mess. The window panels was very dirty and dusty. The taps for the sink was very hard to off, time for some upgrading. Generally, I think there is no sense of ownership and pride on the part of the staff in keeping the hotel at tip-top condition. Despite the hotel's attempt to maintain its old and antiquated charm, this should not be equated with dusty and run-down room fascilities.

    "I was expecting the hotel to be grim. It is a haven for the tired traveller and next time I have to stay in London I will stay in The Hobart House. I will recommend that friends do the same. Lovely quirky decor too." (107523397)

    I arrived very late at night and was met by a very respectful and pleasant night porter who carried my bags up the stairs for me. Everyone was really helpful and charming.

    No bad points at all.

    An interesting establishment with a charm which will appeal to those who look for something different. Splendid public rooms with an unusual decoration and furnishing. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a view over the garden to the Thames. The furniture and decoration was in good order. The range of items provided for the continental breakfast was sufficient. We did not have the cooked alternative.

    Good range of restaurants nearby Pleasant location

    No internet access other than in lounge area, and that was very poor. Damp smell throughout. Carpets all worn, windows would not close, no work space in room. Felt old and stale. Breakfast poor. No other meals available.

    Nice room. Lovely views over Thames.

    Quite dreadful double bed - completely clapped out. My wife complained but did not want to change room. Second night she slept on single bed in room. Wash basin taps seem to need new washers.

    lovely old building with a good feel. Bedroom very comfortable and the staff were really helpful. Breakfast was also excellent and the English was freshly prepared and delicious.

    None really. This is a guest house not an hotel, and was good value for money

    above all , I think the breakfast is too scarce. If you don´t arrive very soon to the breakfast room the probability you don´t find anything to eat is very high. Once the food is run out it is not replaced

    Staff were polite and friendly. View lovely from our room. Continental breakfast good, served in a pretty dinning room in the main building.

    Thought we had booked to stay in the main building and not the one that is in need of refurbishment next door.

    Location good. clean. comfortable. Female receptionist helpful and friendly.I loved the oldy worldy decor and the xmas decorations. thanks.

    Room cleaners continually forgot tea bags, milk, biscuits. I found them sitting in my room on one occassion, tv was hopeless, could only get itv channel.Male receptionist could be more attentive.Breakfast became boring, always the same.

    Mattress on the bed was old , The springs were coming through and were hurting my back. I had a terrible night sleep and suffered from tiredness all the next day.

    Bags of character in an outstanding location, right next to the Thames, with excellent views and a small garden below. Our room was large and comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities. A very good continental breakfast included in the price, in an attractive dining room.

    Nothing really bad, though the bed could have been somewhat firmer. The hot tap in the bathroom dripped continuously. Not sure about the level of noise insulation, though our stay was quiet and peaceful. The off-street parking was a squeeze but seemed to have been organized adequately.

    "Very good.I have stayed in Hobart Hall many times - I come back again and again as it is very conveniently situated - parking is good(and free!!!)and I have always been very warmly met upon arrival. Views of the river too are lovely. I have always had breakfast, until my most recent stay, which is always good. " (108084610)

    Staff always very helpful and polite. Despite having a single room I was delighted to find I had my own loo and shower. Bed comfortable and Tv much appreciated.

    I was disappointed I could not request an early breakfast(it was a Saturday) as I had to leave at 06.00am to collect my daughter from Gatwick. I would have appreciated the offer of some fruit in my room as breakfast is included in the price.

    It was not worth £95 per night, it resembled student accomodation and the photo on the site was taken from rthe most attractive angle available, why not take the photo from the front of the hotel, it gives abetter impression of the hotel!

    Its faded grandeur and querkiness. Lovely setting. Fabulous foyer and drawing room. Friendly staff.

    The toilet didn't flush properly. The service at breakfast time was very poor - no glasses, asked for hot water and it came fifteen minutes later. Long wait for English breakfast. Same service for other guests even though there were only a few diners.
