    "blood on the linen, light bulbs did not work, the backend of the bed was loose, so was banging in the wall whenever one moved in the bed. Plus could not get one of my colleagues off after just one night because for some reason, he was booked for 2 nights. This was even though we notified them immediately on arrival that something was wrong. We should really do a chargeback here, but not sure if really want to bother for 70 £, but still. Service level at minimum that is for sure." (108587417)

    as above, I will rate this among my 5 worst hotels at this price ever.

    bad bed lined and towels and poor quality hair care products ets. room very small and not as described on internet this was not a hotel but a bed and breakfast and we were not offerd any more toast and coffe service very perfunctoryy

    Location, Comfortable room with view, Good Breakfast

    The room was to small, in that you had to turn sideways to get into the bath room. Also having to change from a double to a single the following night was good.

    The location was good.

    The Hotel was untidy. The facilities were poor. The Hotel was in fairly bad condition. The dining room was really small. The full english breakfast consisted of 1 sausage, 1 rasher, 1 tomato and an egg, which was served in what looked like a side plate.

    "Generally no complaints. Reasonably priced hotel in attractive area and fairly close to transport links. The only complaint would really be the breakfast which was fairly basic with rotten tea and coffee (a menu of options would be a good improvement). Service was friendly and efficient.     "Basically this is on the cusp on being a guest house and the dcor is more than a little tired (very faded grandeur) However, the room was more than adequate, bed was very comfortable, staff were excellent and breakfast was fine." (97871566)

    Despite the poor weather, for which the hotel was entirely to blame, we enjoyed a very comfortable stay at the Riverside Hotel. Your receptionist was friendly and helpful and allowed us to drop our bags in the lobby so we could dash off to shop in Richmond before rushing off to a show in the West End. Our luggage was in the room when we got back. After checking out we were allowed to leave our bags with you until we got back from a marvelous visit to Hampton Court. The breakfast was perfect. Thank you for you hospitality, we'll be back soon.

    "The purpose of my vist to Richmond was to go to a family wedding. Parking in Richmond is a nightmare and the hotel did not have much parking to offer save a couple of spaces outside. The breakfast was quite good value and even though the hotel could do with some modernising, it's homely and a good place to stay for people on a budget who want to be in the heart of Richmond."     It's a matter of taste, but the place is a bit dated and chintzy! Also there was no shower curtain in the bathroom.

    The beautiful view through the window/doors that looked over the garden down to the Thames River. The warm courteous response from management, the clean room and wonderful breakfasts & courteous people who served. I found nothing to dislike at this establishment. Walks down to river,close bus stops and safe area to just walk. Our first day we walked to two beautiful parks with the help of total strangers who were willing to respond to strangers from far away. The trains made it possible to be in London for other activities too. Both the Riverside Hotel and the town of Richmond rate an A+ from me. My stay was a memorable event.

    "The hotel has a pull in off the road for unloading & loading but no car park you must read in detail about the hotel it is all there. I was on the first floor & further floors are reached by steep stairs. Breakfast was excellent fresh cereal, hot toast, hot tea & coffee a very nice atmosphere every thing is brought freshly made to the table apart from cereal & juice this is self service. I would stay in the Riverside Hotel again. Nothing was ever too much trouble." (97187184)

    "Parking was ok, but it's not difficult to imagine some guests having nowhere to park. The breakfast was nice but not very generous, in fact it was served on a plate that was only slightly larger than a side plate. The manager had a slightly brusque attitude and was not overly welcoming." (97535050)

    "Generally quite an unkempt hotel,old carpets/paintwork,creaking stairs.Portable TV in room was nicotine stained,and we were unable to open any windows.Bed was ok,so was the bathroom.The final straw was being woken early to move my car." (97913200)

    the location was great and easy to find with parking

    we were expecting a hotel but it was in my opinion a guest house and not up to the standard I would expect for the money.

    "Overall the accommodation and stay was good. Check in was a bit confused, the lady at reception explained about the key etc, to my mother, whilst I was completing the registration form. It would have been nice if she could have waited and explained it to us both; but that is just my feeling. Also the registration form required me to write down my credit card details (as that was my method of payment) on it. In this day and age of identity theft, I really hope that the form is properly disposed of! Breakfast was very good and very friendly." (99559946)

    The location was very good, good public transport links between Richmond and London centre and very easy to walk from hotel to Richmond train station. Staff were very friendly and on the most part knowledgable about the local area.

    Being in the 'basement' made the room very stuffy on arrival and immediately had to open the window; which was not an easy thing to do, windows were very stiff. Stairs down to room were a bit tricky, particularly with a case (even a small one).

    "A good hotel for a visitor on a budget. Helpful staff who take the time to listen to your queries and explain the basics (something lacking in a good many other London hotels). Parking is a problem but the creative way that the staff deal with this limitation is much appreciated" (99027483)
