    I think it would be better if the check in was available on Fri afternoon. It was not clear that no one would be available at this time. The ansafone message could state this.

    The hotel is clean and well presented. It is ideal for a base because it is close to Manchester town centre without the noise. I would recommend anyone wanting to go into Manchester, should use the rail service - 12mins from Eccles Station to Manchester Victoria. Eccles Station is a 10 mins gently walk from the hotel.

    There were no bad points but, hopefully I can give some constructive criticism. We didn't realise the reception was not open for booking in at certain times (which was our fault for not reading the small print). Can I suggest you make that clearer online and also on the answering machine at the hotel.

    very cosey, friendly and professional. breakfast was very good - layout of dining area was to hotel standards rather than B&B - this was a very positive point for me

    After a intensive day - did not feel like walking to nearby restaurant - dont drive - would like to have had a sandwich or "pub grub" in the hotel - in saying that the restaurant promoted when I enquired about food was excellent and well worth the 5 min. walk.

    staff very friendly and helpful. room spacious and clean and tidy. plenty of tea/coffee, not having to ask for more. bathroom clean and supplied plenty of toiletries.

    decent hotel, good breafast service and close to motorways and easy access to city centre

    found it slightly expensive, a reasonable price should be £30 per night including breakfast

    Beautiful Victorian building tastefully decorated. Very helpful staff and excellent recommendation of nearby restaurant - Smith's. Room was comfortable.

    Very disappointed with shower and en suite bathroom generally. Would like to have been warned about the recent work by the Water Board that probably affected the shower so that it ran cold, before I tried to use it in the morning. Breakfast was also disappointing with a lack of choice and I was outraged that there was an extra charge of £2.50, on top of the £7.00 already paid, if you wanted smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. At the guest house that I run there is no extra charge for this option.

    Hotel clean, service good, friendly staff, and helpful. Situation good.

    Room too small for a twin room. No window (skylight in bathroom). Not enough storage space; no bedside cabinets.

    "thank you for asking. Room 5 Family room. sit on the loo and look at where the cleaner has missed in the shower. I would like a shelf in the bathroom. The great thing about travel lodges/Premier lodges, is that on checkin the room is warm. You have check-in from 3pm and whe window was open (Jan 08) and the room freezing. The heating came on from 5pm and then very noisely at 6am. I will use you hotel again only if the other options are full. The cooked breakfast was small and the ingrediants of the cheepest quality (but included) Thank You." (97176469)

    "We thought we found a real little gem. The hotel was attractive, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.     We had three rooms between us and all were exceptional value for money, tastefully decorated and furnished and even the smallest one with a private bathroom a couple of steps away was delightful.

    "I had very little contact with the proprietors but had no problems. Check-out was swift and efficient. I did not take breakfast so cannot comment on the standard of food. The hotel seemed clean and run in a business like manner. There is limited on site parking but managed to get a space every day. I was very disappointed with the size of my room as I'm sure there are much better rooms in the hotel. The only window was a small roof window with limited visibility. I would not want to stay in this room again and would advise checking the size of the room offered before booking." (99774275)

    Good location for access to Salford area.

    Probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in. Nothing to sit on apart from the bed, so by the end of the week I had a sore back. I was expecting en suite facilities but the shower and toilet (private) were located on the landing. The proprietor said this was explained on the website so I may have missed it but haven't looked again to check if this is the case.

    Everything was clean and tidy nice relaxed attmosphere, breakfast was nice. Close enough to Manchester to enjoy the city without the hassel or expence

    We had room 21 which was close to the road so a bit noisey (proper double glazing would help that)

    Nice place with great value for money. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a resonable accomodation, equivalent to major hotel groups, close to motorways and Eccles / Trafford Park

    Nothing at all, money well spent. Probably get some new beds.Could probably do with a small bar in the lounge to socialise

    "This honmel;y comfortable hotel weel outside of Manchester is useful to know about if the prices in the centre are outrageous. It is far more convenient foor a car driver than public transport.     Homely comfortable room with en-suite facilites and a good shower

    It is more than ten minutes from the town centre by car. It also a long walk from the Metro less spo from Eccles station

    Cozy room in a charming old house in quiet Manchester neighborhood.

    The service staff was friendly, but not accomodating or flexible. This hotel is not as close to the university and city center as I had hoped.
