    "We were very pleasantly surprised. Good value for money. The hotel was clean, staff efficient, and our room (offering only soap and towels, and tea/cof making facilities) was comfortable and not noisey although on the A5." (97161443)

    Although not invalided, we were actually allocated a disabled ground floor room, which was very comfortable and spacious.

    Nothing other than the remote location of the hotel meant our taxi came from Reading and the 15 minute ride to our venue was overly expensive. Also the return taxi was 45 minutes late!

    Clean and comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff.

    The hotel has no smoking rooms. There is no Guinness available in the bar. The card payment machine in the bar and restaurant does not work. There is very poor mobile phone reception.

    "The only complaint is that room 37 had no natural ventilation and there was no air conditioning unit fitted to compensate for this fact.. Because the room looks out on to a dual carrigway road the window was a wooden sealed unit, with secondary upvc double glazing inside. It was not possible to create any natural ventilation.The room also faced into the afternoon sun, therefore when i arrived it was hot in the room,i could only shut the curtains. When i arrived back at the room around midnight i left the door open for about half an hour to allow a breeze to come in from the small open window at the end of the corridor.The room was stuffy overnight,( it is only May and i wonder how hot this room would be over the hot summer months. otherwise my stay was fine. In the future i shal lask about air conditioning in rooms that i book or if the window is an opening one." (99684922)

    "THE ROOM I WAS GIVEN WAS DIFFERENT TO THAT I BOOKED AS IT HAD A DOUBLE SOFA IN IT AND i requested a std double room. I ordered room service and was provided with an incorrect meal which my wife was unable to eat and as the waiter had left and I had signed it was too late as we were both hungry what we received was not on the menu so do not know how we managed to order it also it was much more expensive that what I had ordered if I was not tired and in a hurry the next morning I would have complained but knew I would receive this survey.     "the hotel is exactly as it should be for the price, it's clean and everything you need for a short break is there. we were going to the reading festival and there is a train station 5 mins walk from this hotel that takes you to Reading station." (3304499065)

    "The hotel room was comfortable and clean with all the expected conveniences: the staff were unusually pleasant and friendly and I enjoyed the stay. The only point that you may need to highlight was the poor/non-existant mobile reception, which while not a stress point on this occassion may give concern for business visitors." (3305196559)

    Bed was lovely and large with crisp bed linen, breakfast was very well laid out and enjoyable

    Air conditioning was rubbish, didn't really seem to wrok at all and you couldn't open the windows to get any fresh air in the room either.

    General quality of hotel and excellent price.

    Very slow service in restaurant. I appreciate that with the run-up to Christmas, staffing can be difficult. However, we were the only party in the restaurant and had advised in advance that we would be 9 people arriving at a set time. That said, the quality of the food was excellent.

    "The Spanish woman who checked me and seemed to run reception was excellent and very customer focused. If it had not been for her I would have checked out after the first night. While room service food was apalling the service from the staff was good - helpful and friendly." (3304028204)

    The accommodation was standard.

    Equipment in the room such as TV remote and faulty internet connection. Also the food was dire and overpriced.

    Room and breakfast were good. Large bathroom. Our 17 yr old son slept on the sofa-bed. Choice of newspaper in front of the door in the morning.

    The ambiance in the restaurant was business-like, lots of light.

    It was clean and tidy with a modern feel with a nice courtyard. Food was good and staff were friendly

    Air conditioning didn't work in room and it was 27 degrees all night!
