  "Breakfast buffet less comprehensive than the other Italian hotels on our trip, particularly as regarding fresh fruit." (107391308)

  Good location

  Website referred to a lift but at least half the rooms, one came out of the lift then had to go through a fire door and then up a dozen poorly lit stone steps; a problem with suitcases. We were told we should have requested mobility assistance in our booking.

  Location, helpful and polite staff, cleanliness, very adequate buffet breakfast

  "I had stayed a few times at the old Albergo Universo and always liked it. The new Hotel Universo lacks some of the old one's laid back charm but it was still a good place to stay while visiting Florence. We were there for a week and would have been quite happy to have stayed longer." (108069147)
