    Pen in the room didnt work, no tv on arrival all night due to fault.

    The door doesn't close properly in room 219.Pillow were too soft.The room is a bit outdated,could do with a make over.The light bulbs were not in the reading lamps.

    "I needed somewhere convenient and wasn't planning to spend a great deal of time at the hotel, as I was attending a conference. I used the bar area on three consecutive evenings over the weekend and it was not staffed. Despite advertised as refurbished, still a large percentage of the Hotel is tired and needs attention.     Not enough members of staff and those they did have were very young & inexperienced Bar unsupervised each time we went in; one person covering reception & bar Checking out took a long time due to lack of experience, which made me late departing. Musty smell in and around room

    clean and comfortable bed, with good facilities onsite

    No lock or catch on bathroom door (masking taped over)shower control was broken . Breakfast was poor quality and the food was either only just cooked or had been cooked too far in advance, mushrooms wizened and beans dried also the buffet was not replenished on a regular basis so quests were not able to have the full range of breakfast foods. On both occasions, two or three dishes were missing, and other guests got fed up of waiting and ended up with a very poor breakfast for the £11.00 charge. Also I was not warned in advance that the restraunt was not open during my stay, which meant we had to go out to eat after a very long drive.

    Reception staff friendly.

    Room allocated was out of commission. Blamed on computer/human error.No towels, bedding, sink was blocked, there was a hole in the wall and wallpaper had damp/mould on it.Had to wait until next day for room change. When we arrived back on Saturday night, there was a private function; the drunken guests had spilled out into car park and were deliberately blocking access.

    Booking in was easy and friendly.

    Not impressed with people standing outside the entrance smoking and drinking, staff behind the bar moaning about other staff/hours, not very professional and the hallways and room decor a bit tired. Noisy boiler and air conditioning very near our room.

    Staff were good

    Room was very cold and failed to get warm after several hours with the heating on full blast. Due to this I had to complain and was eventually supplied with a portible heater to warm the room. The wall paper was covered with dry water stains and in some cases pealing off. Also the curtian looked like they had not been washed for years and even contianed small amounts of congealed food. The lobby and bar area was very stail with very out of date furniture.

    Room had been refurbished so was looking quite fresh

    Carpet in hallway was dirty, felt very muxh like a motel rather than a hotel, bar area was loud. Breakfast was poor quality.

    Air conditioning was very poor on what was a hot night. I was woken in the morning and asked to move my car which was parked in a clearly identified parking space. The water pressure from the shower was very poor.

    Sauberkeit war nicht ausreichend. Baustaub am Kasten, Spinnweben an der Decke, Teppich sehr staubig, Haare im Bad.

    "I arrived to a really easy and friendly check in service and the room was very good and very clean. Having called into the J7 bar i found the staff very poor and ended up being stood at the bar for nearly 10 mins (other customers walked away in disgust). Overall a great value for money hotel with 99% friendly helpful staff let down by poor staff in one area. Would recommend." (99278985)

    "My twin room in this hotel was large, clean and comfortable. The decor was dated however, and really a refurbishment is just about due. For a stopover or one or two night business stay the hotel is well-placed, easy to find, value for money and very convenient for the M11 and east London. I think if you were planning a wedding reception, or special event, or were staying for a holiday (does anyone really want a holiday in Harlow?) then you'd feel a bit let down." (99869578)
