    accommodation - excellent, exceptionally clean, amazing bathroom. bar food excellent, staff very attentive.

    only one - my credit card had been pre charged.

    Stayed in garden wing, which had been recently refurbished,with decking verandha. comfortable beds and well appointed bathroom well stocked with toiletries. Flat screen TV and bathrobe provided all as per room description

    The original part of the hotel needs refurbishment hopefully to same standard as garden wing. It is a bit dark, floors uneven in corridors and carpeting threadbare in places.

    Staff were so helpful, friendly and cheerful.Service was excellent.

    Bedroom was clean and contained all I would expect for a single room but was showing signs of use. Have had similar facilities elsewhere which were cheaper.

    "The Boat is a lovely hotel situated in a conveientient location close enough to Aviemore to be quiet yet still allowing the possiblilty of having a night out in aviemore without having to pay exorberant fees for a taxi back. The brakfast provided was excellent the staff were more than accomidating in providing additional teas and the food was ok, my only slight dissapointment was in the haggis which was a little over seasoned for my tastes but other than that was ok. As previously mentioned the staff were warm and friendly and only to eager to assist with ensuring that my stay was as producitve as possible. This was espeically the case with the reception staff who very helpfully provided me with details of a local taxi firm and even offered to phone themselves when I realised my mobile phone was playing up."     The staff were welcoming and freindly and more than happy to please

    the building itself was a bit of a maze, i somehow kept managing to end up taking a wrong turn somewhere and being in a different part from where i wanted to be. However that may have been as much to do with my own lack of direction as the layout.

    "We were not informed that some rooms had been upgraded. Had we known this we would have taken an up graded room. The FOOD was out standing. But we were unable to have breakfast on the Sunday morning, somebody had lost the keys to the kitchen. We also found the Staff & Service Excelent." (99949696)

    Lovely quirky old hotel. lost non of its charm. huge kingsized bed, although mattress was a bit hard for us. Did not diminish the weekend. Lovely meal and we presented dining rooms. Excellent mix of staff from all over the world. I would recommend it to anyone. Make sure and tell them if you are playing the golf course to get discount vouchers.

    Lovely room overlooking the garden with armchairs in bay window. Very comfortable and clean. Meal and breakfast very well cooked and presented. Large portions. Location of hotel excellent - peaceful and next to steam railway station.

    Shower very basic. Public bar also very basic! Best to use main hotel facilities.

    Efficient and friendly staff, comfortable room and clean condition of the hotel.

    Unfortunately there was a door in need of closure maintenance, next door to our room and disturbed a nights sleep. Now being attended too.

    Installation of a lift would have helped. Bar staff were not sufficiently trained.
