    Very friendly, good breakfast, excellent beds and a nicely decorated room.

    To reach our room, we had to get up 60! steps from carpark to our room. Every time we used the loo, it took a long time before it stopped making a lot of noise.

    Lovely house and decor, pleasant staff, nice room, good safe area, lovely views from hotel, good parking and convenient location for sightseeing.

    A lot of steps up to house which could be a problem to disabled/wheelchair user. Nice bathroom with bath but no shower for washing hair.

    "When I arrived - they had no knowledge of my booking. Fortunately a guest had terminated their stay early shortly before and they had to prepare the room for me. The owner said he would contact you about this. The booking confirmation you sent me purported to be from the Cleeve Hill Hotel which the owner was particularly concerned about." (97534911)

    convienient to Table Tennis event we attended Family run, so you feel safer, this is very importnant when your travelling as a mum with your young son.

    just the shower as there is very low pressure the water runs but with no pressure, after a long day playing sport this was a little disappointing

    Nicely furnished room. Lovely views from top floor window of surrounding countryside. Thought the breakfast room, lounge and circulation areas were spotlessly clean and decorated / furnished to a very high standard.

    No shower or shower attachment.

    It was extermley clean & the people were very nice.

    I didnt dislike anything. The water in the shower was tempid not hot, that is my only comment.

    "This is a charming guest house in lovely countryside and grounds. The warmth of the welcome, the thoughtful extra touches and small courtesies and the excellent breakfast made the stay worthwhile and we would certainly return. On the negative side the decor is a little fussy and old fashioned (though clearly this is a matter of personal taste) and our ensuite shower room is well overdue a refurb.     Friendly and helpful staff, lovely views, great breakfast, thoughtful touches like mineral water, chocolates in room etc.

    Ensuite bathroom definitely due an upgrade! Smelt damp, some mould staining and weedy shower.

    "This family run hotel is excellent value for money, they were more than helpfull with suggestions for things to do on our stay and added a friendly touch that helped us settle in imediately, the tea & cake on arrival was a welcome treat. Nothing was to much trouble for them and they were available to speak to whenever we needed assistance. The breakfast was excellent and the choice was first class. The hotel was quite difficult to find and a map of the area would have been helpfull. I would not hesitate to use this Hotel again and would recomend it to friends." (3304845505)

    Well kept, clean & well maintained. Set right at the heart of the cotswolds for easy sightseeing, good value for money with an excelent breakfast.

    Room had a bath but no shower, quite a climb to our room on the third floor.

    "This is an excellent place to stay. Comfortable quiet accommodation, great views over the hills, very good breakfast and extremely hospitable owners. There is a decent pub with good food within 5 mins walk, another restaurant almost next door (which another guest recommended) and the hotel has a helpful booklet of information on other eating choices within a short drive. Free broadband wi-fi and nice touches like bottled water and fresh flowers in the room. It doesn't have the leisure facilities of some of the bigger chain hotels in Cheltenham but if these don't matter to you and you don't want/need to be in the centre of town then this is a great alternative" (3304779873)

    "Breakfast is served at a reasonable hour and cooked to order. The back gate of the hotel is literally on Cleeve Hill which is criss-crossed by walks suitable for all abilities. Disabled access to rooms on the upper floors would be difficult. The sitting room is well equipped with guides on the area and a wide selection of menus from local restaurants is available. There is a pub/restaurant on the doorstep and food there is very good. All rooms are beautifully presented, but all are different so if you want something in particular (such as the grand four-poster)then check availability first. The polite and welcoming atmosphere couldn't be faulted and the guest book and thank-you cards are testament to that. A really lovely place." (2835055)

    The suite was beautifully presented and the offer of tea and cake on arrival was most welcome. The family couldn't have been more polite and helpful, even offering to provide knifes, forks and plates for our picnic and although this was a bed and breakfast hotel they did say that if we needed anything at any time we could ask - we really felt they were genuinely concerned that we had a comfortable hassle free stay. Breakfast was cooked to order and you could have as much or as little as you wanted - we didn't feel the need for lunch on any day!!!

    In our room a larger double bed with a firmer mattress was needed The heating was on all night - shold be able to turn off rads in the room The power of the shower could be improved and the temperature adjustment needs looking at

    "The Hotel is set in the hillside overlooking the Cotswolds. A perfect setting to relax and unwind. The rooms are very spacious, with the lounge and conservatory are light and airy. The breakfast was perfect, fresh fruit and cereals are available, with the full english a delight !!" (2585160)
