    Food was excellent and well presented. Nice quiet room overlooking nice gardens. Well equiped room and extremely comfortable. Exceeded expectations.

    Noisy wedding guests shouting and laughing in corridor at 3am.

    Excellent Breakfast and value for money booking in advance. Friendly staff and small, but clean, comfortable rooms. Added plus that some rooms take pets as a friend took their dog.

    None really - perhaps just the rooms were too hot

    Bathroom - extractor fan, radiator and shaver light all not working. Nowhere to hang up a long winter coat Morning call did not happen Restaurant had no non-residents dining, which tells its own story

    "stayed for a weekend while attending a wedding.Food was lovely,but service was very poor. In all areas of hotel staff were very young and inexperienced and didnt receive very good guidance from their duty manager.It is a big shame because the hotel itself is lovely just the staff lets it down badly."     excellent room - good local character. Not trying too hard

    "This is the second time in this Hotel and I will be using on regular basis. I find the Hotel good and the staff friendly and efficient.     "The Room was very warm and even with the heating off it was difficult to sleep as a window could not be opened. The service in the bar was very poor for a Saturday evening. The bar was left unattended for long periods of time. The leisure facilities are fairly remote from the hotel but were very good." (97149471)

    The hotel was clean and tidy. It had good leisure facilities and a large Bar/ lounge.

    The room was very warm and with now acconditioning it made the room very stuffy.

    "I reported to the staff on checking out my dis-satisfaction. It was past 2am before I was able to go to sleep because of the problems from the next room. As the hotel was full I was not able to move. 5 hours sleep is inadequate for me as I had a full mtg arranged for the next day and then had to drive home after 4pm. (2+ hours).     Too noisy. Soundproof between rooms inadequate.I had to get hotel staff to assist with a TV problem from room next door.

    peaceful location nice leisure facilities

    room decor and carpet shabby poor plumbing water brown!changed to different room which was nicer but had to have smoking room as no non smoking available also tv's on ground floor have very poor reception.

    "Generally the hotel is vaklue for money, however during the Christmas period there are very few staff around. This should be addressed. My only other concern is the constant presence of cigarette smoke in the bar area For future stays at Bolholt I would have to have verification that ALL room accessories are in good working order."     "Before leaving home (3.5 hours drive away), I e-mailed the hotel to ask for a bottle of Champagne to be placed in our room for our arrival as it was going to be a special weekend for us. On arrival, there was no champagne. I queried this with reception and they apologised.This unfortunately set the tone of the weekend. We had only two buscuits to have with tea on arrival. They were not changed or made up on the Saturday morning. We had one bottle of water to share when we arrived. We received a second bottle on Saturday!The taxi booked by reception took us to the wrong venue,meaning that we were late for and missed the presentation that was the reason for our visit.Although this was not the hotel's fault, it just highlighted our problems. The room was rather cold even with the heating on max. On a positive note the restaurant/bar staff were excellent and very helpful." (99852164)

    Friendly staff

    Room was looking a bit tired. Only one pack of two buscuits for a couple to have with tea/coffee is pushing the economy tag a bit!

    Very good leisure facilities opening early and closing late, very good staff attitudes good restaurant facility

    The directions from the motorway M66 needed a little clearer eg. fork left after 50 ms was not a fork in the road but a definite right turn. This misled us and added extra time and worry as we got lost at the end of a long journey. No dislikes with accomodation.
